Of course they did - they're a big, veteran team who's been through a whole lot more as a group than our guys. They should be able to dictate the play. Learning to hold your ground when a better team pushes the action is how you become a great team.

I think the playoffs might actually happen. I am starting to believe now.
On the road with the home team trying to tie it usually means getting outshot.

Never thought we'd shut them out on their ice. Love it.

Ferland is QUICKLY becoming a keeper! Keeps getting better every game, and I thought he was very effective tonight in every way.

Hartley has some very tough decisions to make. Will be very difficult to send any of these three down.

Brodie was sensational tonight. I can't think of anyone that was bad, actually. Brodie and Byron stood out a bit as having exceptional games, along with Ramo of course. A wonderful 'full-team effort' tonight from start to finish.
Hartley or Treveling? Someone will probably be dealt, it's a log jam.

For the first time in a long time, the Flames can deal in the trade market from a position of strength. We appear to have a surplus of contributing players which means we can make the deal that we want to make instead of the deal that we need to make. It is a good feeling!

Last time #Flames beat the Sharks by 2 or more goals in SJ was a 6-0 win on Apr. 12/96. That was nine days before Jarome Iginla's NHL debut.

LOL riveting interview

Still volumes more than Kipper ever did in an interview

In last 56 games dating back to mid-Jan last season, #Flames longest losing streak has been two games, which has happened only five times.

That was easily Baertschi's best game of the season.

Maybe Jones too

With Engelland & Hiller not playing, plus Seto gone, this lineup was all here before current management (save difference makers like Bollig and Diaz). I guess Feaster built a decent team.

Great Road Game! Byron was a beast, and started everything for Hudler's first goal.
One negative I thought was that Glencross seemed a little to nonchalant on the puck at times and sharks players got to it first hemming the flames in.

From Freeway:
‏@RyanNPike There's 58 games left. A .500 record gets the #Flames to 88 points, just shy of the playoffs.

Giordano has as many points as goals against he's been on the ice for, in total.

Can we just be happy with the win? This Glencross thing is getting to be annoying. The guy can't do anything right in the eye of a lot here.

The challenge for Treliving is actually the cap floor. The Flames can't just dump players for picks because they can't fall under the cap. They could pick up a contract along with a pick to even out the trade but I don't want to pick up an under performing high contract because 1) it could mess up chemistry, 2) because it wouldn't fix the logjam and could relegate one of the young players to the bench/AHL.

I think Treliving shouldn't trade unless 1) he gets a pick or 2) he picks up a player who fits one of the Flames' needs (ie 2nd pairing D or RW). We should be very hesitant to use our cap space as an enticement to give us a higher draft pick/better quality prospect if we take on a bad contract.

Brodie is #1 in the league (amongst all skaters) in being on the ice for ES/SH goals for (+ events). He has 30.

Gio is tied for second in the league, at 28. Interestingly, also tied for second, is Dion Phaneuf.
