There were multiple hits.
Did you do a head count during the lead up scene just so you could cross reference?

Just trying to be a dick today? WTF?
I expected more walkers all over the place as the heard was quite large. They focused on one hitting the windshield when I thought I would of been a good time for some good walker gore.

I'm pretty sure he was just trying to be funny.
I guess the point is that given the number of flaws in that scene; the number of walkers that followed the van down was much lower on my list. I did also note multiple hits, and a few walkers on the ground that didn't make the fall intact.

Meh, guess I didn't find it funny if that was the case. And undercoverbrother, I'm not harping, I'm answering you. I mentioned it once. You continue to drag it out. Kind of thought this was a discussion thread. I'm discussing a scene and my thoughts, thanks.
I guess that's also my point, the scene was flawed. I just really expected more carnage overall.

There are a number of scenes that are flawed. The sound effects for Carol's current rifle drives me nuts.
The point is this show is all about suspension of disbelief.

That is true. Funny how we can accept zombies, but don't like details of a scene like a falling vehicle or how many zombies fell...lol.

I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer for me. Can anyone tell what the Grady cop was doing at the beginning of the episode when D&C were watching him from the car? The cop car stops and one cop gets out, vanishes around the corner for a minute, comes back with 2 bikes and then drags something else off the road. Was he just simply clearing the road or was there something else going on there that I missed?

I thought that at first, but I also wondering why?
You would assume they are traveling those roads a lot. Who/what is putting stuff in the way.
Vatos?

I'd think that in a city of 5 million, there would have to be a few thousand survivors scattered around. D&C already found a couple of different survivor camps in the few buildings they went into. The +15 one appeared to have been attacked by other humans, so there must be a few groups running around.
I guess it isn't a stretch to find an abandoned bike. In some ways a bike has some advantages over cars. Not loud, more agile, never needs fuel and less likely to break down.

But to that end it's just funny that in a professional big budget production, where so much time and energy is spent on sets, locations, effects, etc., that they can't throw an extra handful of zombies on the ground to compliment the scene.
It has to be time and/or budget restrictions. These directors have a fanatical attention for every minute detail. It must be extremely frustrating for them to compromise their vision because of restrictions.

based on how much of a throwaway that whole scene was, I'm going to guess it was bad writing.

I guess I was hoping that scene had more meaning than it probably does, but yeah he was probably just clearing the road like you guys said.
I'm always hoping this show has more meaningful scenes and storylines. I guess I just need to back off on my desire for a show where every scene has something to say.

My take was that they were using the bikes and other objects to block the road to the hospital, obviously wouldn't stop a walker or human on foot but may make a car drive by without trying to enter.

And I hope we don't see too much more of preacher man.

I wonder if the cop's name was really "Bob", or if he overheard Sasha and Tyreese talking.

Where the heck does the preacher guy think he's going? You'd think it would be way safer staying with an experienced group rather than venturing off on your own. Guess he doesn't want to be associated with a group who kills.
Also, was him stepping on a nail just that? Or you think there was something more to it?

Not sure what to think of these cop characters either...
Seems to cheapen the storyline a bit.
