I might also recommend that if you have a stable of 90's sitting around (I had 8 of them...) you may want to run them all through the "intro quests" of the xpack to the initial setup stage of their garrison.

Your garrison collects resources as you sit there, picking up roughly 120/day in your "Garrison Cache". I don't know about other players, but it feels like I never have enough resources for all the stuff I want to do between buildings and Followers.

So all of my 90's are sitting in their bare bones garrison, having just arrived there, and are collecting 120 resources/day. When I get around to playing them, they are going to have some resources out the yinyang. Some of my toons already have 750+ resources.

If you don't read the storyline (it's the same horde/alliance, every time you play it) you can blast through the intro in about 45-60 minutes.

That is a great idea about the Garrison resources, thanks for that. Is there a cap to what the resources get to before you have to collect them?

If anyone has a Gladiator Sanctum in their Garrison do this, go to Ashran for a hour and collect bones from other players corpses. I think I got 400 in the hour I was there, you just walk over the dead corpses or maybe it auto collects them as they die, I am not sure. But just stand in that big stalemate that is always waging on the crossroads.

Then go to your Gladiator Sanctum and max out the work orders, it takes 10 bones per work order, and you get different rewards. I woke up to 4 work orders ready this morning and had 60 gold, 340 honor and a piece of PvP gear. The PvP gear you get from here and the boxes during BG's is a 600 item level (base) vs. the 620 you buy with honor, but honestly for pre season 1 it really isn't an issue and/or upgrade it as you farm honor.

I have been able to max out my PvP gear while sleeping doing this on a few toons.


Also: Broken Mage DPS continues. New combo I was playing with, Greater Invis for positioning > Icy Veins (glyphed for multistrike) > Prismatic Crystal drops on top of the group of players (Shares damage so less targets the more dmg they take) > Frozen Orb > (Target Crystal) Ice Nova > Frost Lance > Ice Nova > Frost Lance spam as it procs like crazy from your multi strike/orb. Profit. Very situational, and you need people to be dumb enough to stand around the Crystal, but they usually are right now as not a lot realize the dps potential. I am consistently at the top of the charts. But wait, it is bugged, they are doubling the damage, it recognizes the damage done to the Crystal AND the damage done to players in the charts, so don't be fooled. But still I am generally 2-3 million above the next person, so even divided in half I am still top 5 with this.

Basically useless for arena unless you have a Rogue who can stun lock your target, but will be very tricky to set up and if it fails you have to turtle/survive/reset for the minute and a half cool down. But it is very fun for the BG's.

Not that I'm aware of. I think that the resource cap itself is 10,000. But I am not 'risking it', and just make sure to log onto my toons 1-2/week, and empty out the caches.

As someone who played pretty hardcore through vanilla, TBC, WotLK a and came but a bit for cata....but skipped all do MoP, what is the game like? I'm thinking of coming back, but felt very lost when I came back last time

Should hit 100 tonight. I'm about 1/3 of the way there and should have enough rested xp to make it doable.

Haven't hit MC yet, but did start the legendary questline, looks to be a brute.

I re rolled a hunter and wow are they easy mode, a level 91 hunter is already out dpsing my lvl 100 mage.

Should make PvP a lot more enjoyable now.

Highmaul LFR in 8 days will require 615 ilvl to queue as well.

So I haven't used my 90 boost yet. I'm almost thinking it would be worth while to use it on a new char rather than one of my lvl 80's.

Now I gotta figure out which class I want. So many decisions.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you boost a character from below 60, your profession skills won't boost with it.

Not a big deal as you don't have to wander low level zones to level professions anymore.
