Rained briefly here in Signal Hill, but seems to have cleared up, at least right now.

This is a pretty interesting one with possibiilty of rotation. Just about to head out and trail it as it moves east. Hasnt rained much here on Heritage. Looks like the hail and downpour is over around 52st street and east.

Just came home. Didn't drive through the storm, but drove right past it and it looked ugly. Definitely potential for funnel clouds.

The ice cream truck keeps driving around our neighborhood. I just keep picturing it being involved in a scene reminiscent of the movie Twister.

This storm won't go away. It seems to have backed up and/or stalled over Calgary as it is once again raining HARD here at the hospital.

Coming down in sheets over here again... lightning and thunder. Lots of fun.

This storm is freaking me out. Before it started pouring hardcore here in Canyon Meadows I looked up in the sky and I could see 3 seperate rotations forming. Now it is raining so hard the eavestroughs can't even keep up with the flow.

Nice light shower here in Copperfield. It's a good thing I watered the lawn today; the rain isn't quite enough to give it a good drink.

Wow, that was scary. I only made it out past 52nd Street and it was not safe. It isnt that great of a storm to chase (too much rain) so I turned around. 52 and Glenmore was a massive lake. Cars stuck, hail so thick I was sliding around in my 4 Runner. At one point up 52 only semis and trucks were getting through. The water had to have been at least a metre deep in some spots.
When I first hit the strom the hail was so strong that it sounded like I was in a dryer with a bucket of rocks thrown in. I was talking to someone on the phone and I couldnt barely even hear myself talk. Definatly not a good one to be stuck in.

Oh, and if anyone is South of the city and East (around the Trans Canada) it looks like the cell that went through High River is going to merge with the cell we just had. Stay indoors folks!

Yeah I got stuck on this one. Couldn't take my usual route home because of a massive lake formed at one point
I also took a large marble size piece of hail right in the back of the melon - sucker nearly dropped me and I actually have a bit of a lump back there now. Unreal.

I live about 10 minutes south of Calgary, should be interesting. I'll be doing some storm watching for sure.

Wicked in the NE (Taradale). For about 10 minutes it came down buckets. Lots of hail, but not that large so it just turned the ground white. The steady (but lighter) rain continued for 45 minutes, and has stopped now. Still regular claps of thunder though.

I just got off work at 7, which I work at the MacKenzie SuperStore and it wasn't raining that bad, just kinda spitting. It looked like it had rained a bit beforehand, but not much. Took Barlow home, not wanting to take Deerfoot in case it was pouring, and I drove through a fair sized puddle. Went by 52nd and Glenmore after the hail was over, and it looked like it had snowed. I noticed a van was stuck in a puddle that was up to it's windows.
I'm just thankful I didn't have to drive through the hail.
