I haven't really seen a team like this in the NHL for quite a while. More dominant, experienced and skilled teams yes. But teams that never give up no matter what happens, not really.

They seem to have a huge sense of confidence about them. And have definitely learned how to win. Which for a young team is the hardest hurdle to get over. Not sure who to credit that to, but I'm guessing they're working hard on getting Hartley's extension signed ASAP.

It's hard to get too excited after the last 7 or so years of garbage that this organization put out. But man, it's getting harder and harder to dismiss this as an anomaly. And the scary part is there's a bunch of other young guys who I think are better than the current guys on the roster coming (Bennett, Poirier, Wotherspoon).

Pretty exciting times in Flames land. I don't see why they are not making the playoffs right now. I mean, half our forwards are injured and we're winning. And to be honest, of all of the teams in the league, my guess is the Flames are the group that the established teams would not want to meet in the first round. Hard working, never give up, believe in themselves, fairly good goaltending. That's the basic recipe for success in hockey.

Love watching this team play.

I don't like that brand. The Oilers branded one of their rebuilds with that name, so it's been used, and ruined.

I think the better term to give this team is this:

The Calgary Flames

The Scorchys are on a huge roll in Adirondack too. When will the rebuild be over? Hopefully never! It's too much fun.

I think the team will come back down to earth and the wins will be harder to come by. It's inevitable with their youth, injuries, etc. and hardly unexpected this early in the rebuild. But what they are showing in terms of heart and resilience is championship grade. Give them a few years to mature then watch out!

So you think we're going to have more injuries? I wouldn't be surprised if we're the most injured team in the league right now.

We're going to get healthier. That's the scary part.

We should hire Bernie Kosar as a consultant.
