Horak

(As that comes as a surprise to anyone)

Perhaps Musil too. He's a large Defenceman. If we can improve his skating, he would be a decent bottom pairing option.

From the Flames obviously the Oilers would love to have any of our top 4 D but I don't see that happening. I could definitely see Backlund being a good fit for them as he fills a huge need as a defensive minded center.

From the Oilers I would like Nurse or Hall but no trade to be made there with Backlund as the centerpiece

Smid. Oh, wait.

Draisaitl, Nurse, as mentioned Scrivens, if we needed a backup goalie.

I'm sure I'll get jumped on for having "edmonton hate blinders" on, but there's not a chance I would want Hall. We have a great team environment, and talented or not, the "me first attitude" is not what we need. And no to Yak, as well.

He's overpaid and not sure he fits on a fully healthy Flames team, but Boyd Gordon is a top 4th line centre/faceoff specialist.

I was lukewarm on Draisaitl before the draft and his play in the NHL hasn't done anything to change that so I would pass on him as I don't know if he's any better than other centers in the system. I believe the Oilers are going to regret picking him over Bennett. Nurse, Hall, RNH after that nobody. Yakupov is a more talented Blake Comeau. He's always doing a lot of skating and things but not much gets done because his hockey IQ is way below average. Fayne would be okay in the bottom pairing. I know a lot of hockey media have fawned over the Oilers talent but really it's not that great at all considering how high they have been picking over the last decade.

Scrivens has a tight grip on the clipboard... Some of the best I've ever seen.

BUT when it comes to the game of hockey, and the position of goaltender, Ramo is the better choice when it comes to winning. If winning to one = amassing as many first overall picks as you can muster, then Scrivens would be the superior choice in that endeavor.

Draisatil or Nurse, and only them. But even if I was Treliving, I could not in good conscious trade one of my own players and condemn them to the Oilers.

Good god, what player currently on the Flames deserves to be shipped to Edmonton? Setogucchi maybe. Other than him, I would hesitate to send any of our soldiers to certain career death in Edmonton.

Given that Hall, Eberle, Nuge, Draisatil and Nurse are not on the block (In my opinion), I am surprised that there is a lack of interest in Yak. He has little value to the Oilers IMHO, and they need to monetize this as soon as possible before he bolt to the KHL for nothing.

Burke and Treleving need to publicly challenge Lowe and CrapT to the boldest move yet - swap firsts and maybe some crummy prospects, to show that they aren't tanking.

Straight from TSN: http://www.tsn.ca/report-oilers-look...erron-1.142401

Report: Oilers looking to trade winger Perron

Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish is reportedly looking for a top line centre in return for the 26-year-old.

LOL. There is no way in hell you get a top line centre in return for David Perron.
