Not at all. Ramo is one of the only guys who showed up tonight, and he's been solid. Flames' defensive coverage has been terrible, and we're having some bad luck offensively: two posts and Setoguchi missing a wide open net in the first period. We bury those chances, and this is a totally different game.

Effort is not the problem. They're just not used to having so little time with the puck. Normally they got time to make a play. They'll be fine in the third, just unfortunately the deficit is too big. They have been outplaying the Devils (though barely). Devils just more opportunistic

Nope. Giordano and Brodie have been weak though.

Way too many give always tonight. Not much effort in the defensive zone.

Did Strombo just say " I don't want to be part of these pylon videos" right before talking about the Oilers lol.

Lots of hockey to be played. I'm not worried until there's less then 2 minutes left. Even then.
That last goal stings but what a bad bounce.
Still not worried.

Being a man, he probably works. Probably just went to the store and bought some OJ.
Kidding, of course. I didn't see the commercial so I can only speculate.

I see a come back tonight, they pushed hard in the 2nd there and carried momentum IMO. This game isn't over yet.

Billy smith was an #######. There's a reason that goalie sticks have to be taped at the end .

Flames have been better most of the night, but simply aren't creating enough chances of their possession and have simply been attrocious at times in their own end. Lots of mistakes that have led to really good scoring chances for the Devils.
To be honest, what we are seeing tonight is likely what we all expected the Flames to look like this year. Lots of effort good control but simply not enough offence and way too many mistakes in their own end.

Flames are going to win this game. 4-3 in the shootout. I have faith.

I think our main problem is that we've come up against a Devils side bang up for it.
I don't think we've lacked effort at all, but we've been brutally out skated in all 3 zones. Not to mention that I think we've tried too hard too soon to chase the game and that has left us with all sorts of problems defensively. I think we've tried to out skate and out pace them with our speed game and they have just upped, matched and eclipsed our efforts tonight. For as poor as we have been, the Devils have mostly been superb, especially on the attack. Haven't been able to handle them all night.
Brodie I think has seen his play drop right off. I know it was always going to, but he's now playing below an acceptable standard. I mean, ok the bounce on that 3rd was ridiculous, but still, could he have been a bit better placed? As for the 2nd....
Still, hopefully we can a bounce or 2 in the 3rd and get things back. We saw how quickly things turned around in the last 2 games, lets hope its 3 times the charm tonight.

Flames have shown a lot of resilience lately, but you're not gonna keep winning games when you're constantly playing from behind. It seems like it's finally catching up with them tonight. Going forward they clearly need to work on their starts. That being said, let's hope they have enough in the tank tonight to makes things interesting. Need a big 3rd!
