Culkin sprung Vause with a nice pass but Makarov with another save.

Slower pace to start the 3rd. Things picking up now though.

Makarov has earned himself a star tonight, if not possibly the first star. He's played excellent tonight.

Hate to say it, but I have to give credit where it's due. He's played terrific tonight. Only reason this isn't 10-1 right now.

THIESSEN MAKES A MASSIVE SAVE

Amerks had him 2 on 1 and he just sprawled to make that save. That actually looked painful. You aren't supposed to sprawl like that at all.

That save was also the Amerks first SOG of the 3rd period. That was about 6 minutes into the 3rd.

Thiessen coming up again with a big save. Amerks are starting to put the pressure to the Flames but Thiessen seems to have full control of that net.

Flames with some great forechecking in the Amerks zone. Reinhart with a couple good chances, great plays being made.

Amerks get a 2 on 1 catching a errant pass and Thiessen comes up with a save again.

Amerks player streaking into the zone and the Flames take a tripping penalty.

Flames to the PK! We've killed off 24 straight penalties.

Edit: Wotherspoon in the box. No good.

Reinhart gets a shorthanded breakaway, but he's tripped up and draws a penalty!

Amerks going to the box for interference.

Reinhart didn't stop moving, drew that penalty.

HE TAKES OUT LARSSON! YES!

Hanowski and Reinhart streak up the ice as the penalty expires. Hanowski caught Reinhart coming out and they go full blast to Makarov. Play whistled quickly. Ref got a little tweet happy there.
