Bloody damn ass damn! I only had one piece of raid gear. My boots. And what do I do? I accidentally dismantle them... so mad at myself.

If you makes you feel better, I've done it as well. First piece I got was gloves an I dismantled them not realizing that Raid gear would lvl me up higher then the legendary piece I alrdy had.
I now have a full set, so all hope is not lost!

All is not lost! Boots with max 30 light are available at rank 3 in Iron Banner. I was half-way out of Rank 2 when the last IB event ended, which carried over. Got most of that last night, so I should hit rank 3 in about 6-8 matches today. Boom - recovery. In fact I think I should be able to hit Rank 5 probably in a few days, and should be able to pick up the 30 light gauntlets too.

I'm a level 27, so I shouldn't be having this problem, but I cannot get through the weakly strike at level 26. I literally spent 2 hours this afternoon.
The arc burn is just destroying me, with all the fallen.
I might not be able to solo this strike.

Supposedly they scaled it to make it easier for groups of 3. The more you can find the merrier.
Still though, this Strikebis a ***** without an arc primary.
I think it was the same scenario with this strike and arc burn that StrykerSteve, Gravemist and I spent 3 hours doing.
Edit: what's your PSN? (assuming you're on ps4)

Yeah, I noticed the strike got a ton harder. I have an arc secondary and heavy, but even with those I am having problems.

We manage to complete the raid. It was probably the most epic kill. Everyone on venus was dead, the screen is turning slowly red. Only myself and another guy alive. I am still keeping the portal up and defending the gate as Atheon rage starts to overwhelm me. We've manage to take Atheon down to a sliver of his life. My friend throws the last of his grenade and fushion. I get overwhelmed and die. He dies. Count down timer for all deaths appear, then...I got 2 shards and chatterwhite lol. We won in the most clutch way possible lol.

Awesome! Congrats, sorry I missed it. The Vault is why Destiny still has a hold on me.
I'm planning on doing a run tonight around 9pm once I get the kids in bed. If anyone wants in, let me know. We have two for sure already.
