Before people go around saying that Reinhart has disappointed, it may be that the reason they want Knight is because he is a RH shot.

that is good, I haven't seen enough of him to really get a good look. I hope he can translate to the NHL.
I don't think Reinhart showed much at all during his stint with the Flames, I think heading back down is best for him right now.
I like that they are taking looks at so many of the young guys!

Feel bad for Reinhart. Didn't have much 'positives' with his time up, but I don't know if he made many mistakes either. Very unnoticeable, which is usually a much better quality for a defencemen than a forward I guess.
Happy for Knight. Hopefully he can really enjoy some success and get himself back a bit higher on the depth order. I am a bit surprised that it is Knight and not Arnold though. I thought Arnold has been the more effective player down in the AHL, though I have only managed to catch ~5 games or so.

Probably more about face-offs than anything. Granlund has been bad and Reinhart/Bouma have been worse. Jooris and Monahan have both been solid of late, but having two centres who can't win face-offs to save their lives doesn't help. Particularly on the 4th line since if they lose possession they'll likely never get the puck back.

Well, let's put it this way. Who would you rather have get a chance on the PP? Knight or Setoguchi?
I think we all know the answer to that one.
Hartley and co. seem hell bent on having RH's on the RW during the power play and I agree with their mantra. Knight should be a better option than Seto in that regard.

Knight is known as something of a witch in the dot - with Granlund only winning 36% of his draws, we definitely need more presence in the circle.
Also, did anyone really think Jonathan Toews was going to lose two faceoffs to Josh Jooris in the final minute of a one goal game?

We now have 4 right handed forwards with the team. 4 guys that can potentially play RW without being on their off wing.
Although one of them is a facepuncher and the other is useless.

That could be but I still don't think Reinhart has looked as NHL ready as the other kids that have been called up. Gaudreau, Grandlund and Jooris, NHL players. Ferland and Backlund tweeners, not sure yet. Reinhart looks lost and not ready. He's still 22, still time, ditto for Baertschi who just turned 21. Jooris obviously didn't make the jump until he was 24.
Corban Knight is now 24, if he sticks it'll be a lost opportunity for Reinhart and another guy that has passed him.

They need to see what they have in Knight as his contract is up next July I believe. At 24 he needs to show what he can. This might be the best shot he is going to get this year.

Agreed. Im thinking that Arnold will get a shot as well this year. I think his contract is up for renewal next year as well. Only signed a 2 year ELC and the first year was burned already.

Ferland wont be a tweener. Unless he gets hurt again or falls on his face he will get his roster sweater before the year is up.

I think Ferland sticks too. He makes something happen everytime he is on the ice. And he plays with an edge.

GL, IIRC, Grannie's FO % has been much better in the last few games. 50% versus the Hawks. Only 36% versus the Ducks. But 53% versus the Sens.

Reinhart in this showing did not show much. That said, Not sure why posters are giving up on him? He looked great in last years call-up.
Good to see knight getting called up. We can use another right hand.
Would have liked to see Wotherspoon recalled. Not a fan of Diaz.
