ESPN: Top 100 NHL Forwards - No Flames

Linkbait, yet I was guilty of clicking.

I don't care much about the specific number but the relative positions interest me. Would love to hear the conversation at the roundtable when they make the case that MacKinnon will be higher ranked than Backstrom / Datsyuk / Zetterberg / Hossa.

These lists seem to ignore what has happened in the 1/4 of the season that has already been played, perhaps they were created very early on and just released now...?

Didn't read the list, don't care to but I probably agree at this point. I think Monahan is our best all around forward but other than the past 10 games or so he hasn't shown anything to make people take notice of him. Johnny is our best "skilled" player and he's too new to be on peoples lists.

The Flames don't have many all star forwards but they're a lot better then the sum of their total parts. I'm fine with that.

Exactly. They might have done this before the season started or very early, who knows. I'm sure Gio would definitely be in the top 5 if it was done now but to begin the year probably not.
