Beautiful jersey. If those were on shelves this morning I would have one by early afternoon.

I love the simple separation of the yellow and white on the logo and numbers with red trim, I always felt those two colors bled together too much. I'm a big supporter of the Flames having black in their jerseys, but I'd be on board with these 100%. Love the font too. Nice job, bc-chris.

bc-chris, I love what you've done. I really do. The fact that you brought it to life is great to!
My only suggestion, and I hope I don't get hit for this, is add some black lines. Trim, I don't know. I just feel like the jersey is lacking a bit without some black on it.
Black adds to the depth and making the lines sharp and crisp.
Just my thoughts.

I would be tempted to change the font on the name bar to be more legible from distances, but everything else is great. A slight refresh on a classic design.

I actually really like this idea. Heck if you really wanted to make a proper stunt out of it do up 10 or so and mail em to the local media and the NHL headquarters.

I know I may be asking the impossible but... when you're in the mood for another one I'd kindly suggest to make something similar to my retro 'away' concept:
(not sure how difficult it would be to create those squared off yokes though)

bc-chris, I don't know what to say. My jaw has been dropped. First you become the Grandmaster of BBQ, now you have created the first of what is quite possibly the greatest jersey in the history of hockey with your bare friggin' hands
your status is approaching legendary around these parts. Well done, sir. I would buy one of those jerseys in an instant.

Besides the font of the numbers it's a solid jersey.

That jersey is beautiful. If the Flames switched to that I would be picking up one instantly.

Every Jersey I have brought has been Red since the NHL went from white no longer being the home jerseys but this created White retro look is a masterpiece.

hey guys
thanks for the kind words
playmaker - if i could find totally blank white 1980's flames jerseys i would do one up in a heart beat!! i think it would look amazing. the biggest problem is trying to get the actual jersey. none of the manufacturers i know of actually make the old 80's white jersey. i'd even be tempted to get an actual 80's white jersey and remover the front patch and then do my own thing - but i don't even have that (well i do... but it's a medium and signed by mike vernon and i don't want to change that jersey up)
my only other option is to do a custom order - which is fine, but then there are minimums and i don't really need 12 of them... and no... i can't sell the extras
maybe FlamesFanStrandedInEdmonton has an old 80s white kicking around? .....off to the 'PM' page!

Obligatory Futurama Fry "Shut up and take my money" meme.
This is one of those things that could be in the grinding of the gears thread. While I look at playmaker's concept and bc-chris' creation, I feel this rage build up inside of me because they aren't the jersey's being used and I can't own one. I know guys who aren't even fans of the Flames that would purchase those.

I like your concept and all but I prefer the no red outline on the "C". The white 80's jersey is perfect the way it is and is far and away better than our current white jersey mess.

My mom just came across these in Costco for $29.99. Strange hybrid between modern and retro jerseys. Has anyone seen them before?

I saw a bunch of people wearing these last night at the game for the first time ever.
They're horribly ugly.

WTF.
Is Costco buying Chinese knockoffs or did the NHL/Flames create this monstrosity?

Ladies and gentlemen : the next Calgary Flames home jersey!!!
A little part of my cynical self could see it happening. That would be very upsetting.
