Jackman is such a bum. I mean play the kid hard if you want, but why hack and crosscheck him? I hate players like that. No skill to compete, so they resort to playing dirty.

Monahan also played 25 min last night. Pretty crazy considering he is 20 years old.

Two years in a row for me. Monahan and Bennett. Exactly the player I wanted both years.

While the Flames were mounting a comeback last night the Leafs were getting hammered - leading to this:

Anne Murray @annemurray1 · 17h 17 hours ago
Is there a "good" hockey game going on anywhere tonight?

Anne Murray chirping the leafs - LOL

Getting ripped by Anne Murray. Thats rough.

That said, if she strapped on some skates she could probably defend better than Phaneuf and certainly better than Holland.

Monahan has the best possession numbers on the team despite playing much tougher minutes due to the Backlund and Stajan injuries. Big step forward from last year.

Guy is steadily becoming everything we hoped he could be as a great two-way centerman. And there's still more to come from him.

A lot of credit goes to Hartley as well for the way he has developed Mony over last season and this season. I think it is fair to say he is tracking ahead of all expectations in terms of developing a complete game.

Monahan is becoming an even more amazing player than we thought he could be this year, the only downside is that the boring Sean Monahan tweets seem to have disappeared.

As for Bennett, I'm pumped we got him but I wanted Ekblad... Look at what that kid is doing on a terrible team, he'd look great on the Flames defense right now....

Its a shame we're not as good at developing our players as the Oilers are, then Monahan would be unstoppable.

Boring Sean Monahan @boringmonahan

Jonas Hiller just thanked me for scoring the game winner. I said you're welcome Jonas. He said he was so happy a little pee came out.

No, no they haven't. There have been two in the last 24 hours.

I just don't do "the twitter" so I don't get to see them. People really should be posting them more....

Just take Johnny's jersey and put 'HOCKEY' on the back.

Same goes for Beezly.

It really is amazing how a guy so small is so good. He can take cross checks from a big oaf, pins Vatanen to the boards and causes a goal then he has the skill to score in the shootout as if the goalie didn't even stand a chance. It's almost unbelievable, he makes other pros look like amateurs.
