Flames are a good team, why shouldn't they be? Good goalie, awesome top pairing, lots of highly skilled young guys, incredible work ethic
they are not even in the conversation with the likes of Buffalo or Edmonton

3 favourite parts of that shootout:
-seeing Kesler lose after he pulled his little hand cup to the ear thing after he scored
-the little snake like tounge flick by Hiller just before Perry took his attempt (please someone make this into a .gif)
-Hiller so pumped to get that win and the team mobbing him afterwards

All I could think of in OT was "wow, this feels just like 2004". Totally unreal.
I love this team. It's unbelievable. I'm still afraid to go full bandwagon in fear on jinxing it but watching flames hockey hasn't been this fun in yeeeeaars.
Mony is $$$ in shootouts. That snapshot is just unreal. Such patience. Such poise. much wow.

Great game to pick for my first of the season to attend, just awesome. I have to say I've been tempered on gaudreau all year long but after seeing him play in person he is special and going to be a gem for us to enjoy for a long time. So jazzed about this team right now

Flames have now won 4 of 6 when trailing after 40 mins. Last season they only won 4 games all season when trailing after 40 mins.

That was a very difficult first 40 minutes. Anaheim was disciplined and their game plan was working. Turning around a game like that is rare. Quite impressive.

I hear ya, I'm in a Hotel in Ottawa sharing and room and had to mime my excitement the whole third and OT as the other guy is sleeping.
My lord the vibe this team is giving off right now is palpable. So awesome.
Gaudreau gets a ton of love, Monahan had a stellar game, Wideman using his boomstick but..... Markus Frickin' Granlund everybody! This guy is a cog going forward for many years to come. Jooris had a great game too.
Dang it, the whole dang team came together in the third and OT and blew me away.
Also, Hiller may let in a softie here and there but his record speaks for itself.
It's so good to be a Flames fan right now.

Gaudreau was simply phenomenal in the third and O.T.
When he came off the bench and stole the puck off of the Anaheim player you could just tell he was about to create a scoring chance and he was behind the Flames net.
And Hudler is such a great leader for these kids to look up to.

How does everyone forget about Mark "Moneybags" Jankowski? I mean Feaster had the foresight in drafting Gaudreau in the 4th, imagine what this kid does if he realizes his potential.
