Almost 3-0. Flames look outmatched so far.

Zero hustle from the Flames right now. If they can start getting some pucks to the net like they were doing in the 1st, they might be able to get back into this. But they're not lookin' too good right now. Frustrating.

I notice Glencross once every 10 minutes or so and I get frustrated... Not just because he's floating a bit but because you know good he can be when he engages physically.
I remember him going toe to toe with Reggie when he played for the Oilers, what a tilt that was. He's a strong guy who can make the game tough on the other team... When he cares.
Starting to remind me of Rene Bourque.

Totally, Colborne as well, having two players that can hold onto the puck and keep possession would really help tonight.

I don't see any hustles tonight. Looks like they are just standing around waiting for something to happen. Like they are trying to be cautious. Much, much different from their games in the last few games. Flames need one lucky bounce.

I've noticed Glencross avoid taking a hit in order to make a play, he's one of our bigger guys and if he's not willing to take a hit to keep the play going then I don't know why he's dressed!

Hudler should shot on first pass.

I see lots of hustle tonight, personally. I just see a very good Anaheim team as well.
Thing is, winning looks an awful lot like hard work.

I know Ducks are dominating, but I feel like this game is a good eye-opener for the players to get an idea of where they need to improve throughout the season.

Seriously, with the exception of the last rush, the Flames have barely touched the puck in the 2nd period.

I didn't read or see Burke's comments but I'd imagine they were made in typical Burke jest. Added bonus was the faux outrage, always love the way how media guys want fans to be outraged over something just because they are. Guys like Francis think they are the voice of the fans, what an annoying dbag.

This is a link to the podcast. Darren Haynes tweeted it yesterday. The whole interview is a good listen, and the Kessel comments are at the end. It's about 12 minutes long.

The Flames have been playing without several key players and dominating the win column, the Ducks are just too good to beat like that.
I'm not nearly as confident as some that if the Flames were a more healthy team they wouldn't be right in this game.

really not enough urgency for a team with such steep competition to get into the roster. There are going to be a few young disappointed players heading back to New York state when the healthy guys come back, but by the looks of the effort and urgency tonight, that's what happens, sorry.
You've got to be on every game. They were legitimately starting to force the Flames hand to trade someone, maybe not now.

Flames with no offensive pressure or possession. They better come out flying in the 3rd.
