Baertschi was caught out of position, looked silly and tried to make a diving block but what out of position. He obviously isn't the best shot blocker, if it's something they've worked on with him I doubt if it's been a lot. You don't sit a guy or overreact for trying and failing, you bench him if he didn't try during that play at all.

Hartley said the exact same thing before the Ottawa game. Mistakes will always happen and will never stop happening, even if you try to minimize them. No chance he gets benched for that.

Related a story about Burke speaking in Toronto today. Apparently Burke was asked about Kessel not staying to speak to media after the game. Burke said he didn't blame him for not speaking to you "pukes" and wondered how a player hasn't punched any of them.

I didn't read or see Burke's comments but I'd imagine they were made in typical Burke jest. Added bonus was the faux outrage, always love the way how media guys want fans to be outraged over something just because they are. Guys like Francis think they are the voice of the fans, what an annoying dbag.
