Not sure if it is the case for that game but I think AHL teams often have some sort of kids day where they give free tickets out to local schools for kids to come and watch the games.

Likely to do with mid-week games not being great draws anyways so you get kids in there and hopefully they get their parents to bring them back to future games.

Meanwhile in Buffalo 2500 fans braved a blizzard that hit parts of the city very hard. 4 feet reported in some parts.

Sabres lead San Jose 3-1 in the 3rd

The Martin Erat for Filip Forsberg trade is not going to be remembered fondly in Washington. Forsberg off to an incredible start this year.

Neal was held pointless that game. (13 mins TOI).

So was Jokinen, who still hasn't got a point this season. Ouch.

Love the Leafs score. It was that close to 10! If only the Predators had got 10!!

Know what you mean, lived there in the late 80's on a 4 year stint, remember one game against the powerhouse flames. 12 of us from work went to the game, after 1 period flames were down 3-0 but being a true fan I bet all 11 workmates 10 bucks with 2-1 odds the flames would come back and win. after 2 periods it was 5-0 toronto and figured I would be going to the bank in the morning.

Final score - 6-5 flames in overtime ...thank you Carey Wilson
