Destiny 2 - Good Version Here

I'm hoping whatever Bungie has planned in the coming weeks is good. I've gone from being borderline obsessed with the game, to logging in 1-2 weeks to run a daily and get off.

It sucks, because this game is great, but with more and more alternatives rolling out, you can see the population reduce. I have COD:AW, Halo MCC, AC:Unity and about 5 other games sitting in my backlog that was created from Destiny. Hell even some kind of raid matchmaking would be awesome.

You would think a company like Bungie would have had more then a broken Iron Banner event and Queen's wrath event planned for the 3 months between content drops.

I haven't done any raids because I'm not doing it by myself. Same goes for the daily/weekly

Ya when you need to spend more time trying to look for a group to be able to do content than it takes to actually complete the content, that's just bad design

There should be an option for every strike/raid for solo/matching/party

You can usually find a team at destinylfg.net or r/fireteams on Reddit. And I would highly recommend it because as far as I'm concerned, the raid is the best PvE experience I've had in a game. Though to be fair, I have never played WoW so I'm not sure how that compares.

It's actually not bad, I think assists count towards your total. Those add up quick, even when you suck like me.

I use destinylfg.com, works great. Usually have an invite within 30 seconds.

My experience with 3rd party match making has been hit and miss. Sometimes I'll join a solid group of friends with me and another random. Friendly atmosphere and good dynamic.

And then there are all the other moments where I'm left frustrated at the very late mention of "first time on hard mode" or that one guy that keeps berating everybody about needing to do their job etc etc

Last night was the first in a while where I got to Raid with only friends. Would like to do that more often but it's tough to match up schedules.


Definitely surprised that there hasn't been any mention of a temporary event in the mean time between now and the next patch. That's just more playing time spent towards other titles I guess.

Agreed, while getting a group isn't tough, getting one that's worth my time isn't always as easy.

Last night was a mix of the two, good group of random guys I had never met, I enjoyed my time and had fun, but I won't say it wasn't disappointing that the group was littered with people that hadn't done the Hard mode before. Especially after joining a group and blowing through the normal mode in about 40 mins just before that. Went so quick I figured I had time for a hard run. Naturally, the next run was littered with death and more death, eventually sputtering out at the Gatekeeper portal phase.

I still had fun, but honestly fun wasn't what I was looking for at that point. I knew I'd be traveling all week for work and wanted to just get my runs in and get out so I could spend some time with my wife.

It's a delicate balance.

We should play together Anduril/Nhamlet, we haven't really done so very much.

Lol I feel your pain

I got like 15 points after my first game, started thinking this will be a breeze. Proceeded to get my ass kicked in the next game and went back to zero. Took me a few hours to get it back.

The key was I switched modes and went to a different game type. Once I left the stupid control modes, I made some nice progress.

Finally got a legendary out of a blue engram, that i can actually use!
Sniper rifle called the final boss.
Also just competed my legendary (not raid) armor with a new set of gauntlets. Now to wait for Xur on Friday, and hope he has an exotic scout rifle.
Going to have to find time to get a group together to try VOG soon.

So it actually happens? Huh. I think I'm 0/250 or so. Got two legendary armor, both for hunter so no go

Yeah, I have two legendary titan helmets (I'm a hunter) from blue engrams, that are just waiting for my titan to hit level 18.
i also got a legendary shotgun from a blue engram, but i rarely play PvP, so it's essentially useless.

It took me 29 levels and about 150 hours of play for this to happen to me. Then suddenly it happened twice in one week!

I actually had another one. This time it turned into a set of legendary titan boots. I'm going to have to start working on my titan class again. I have half the legendary armor. RNGesus had been good to me i guess.
it's funny, because i don't think I've ever even found a purple engram.

Got the last two pieces of raid gear on Friday for my Hunter to get to 30. I finished upgrading them today and hopped into the raid with a group from r/fireteams. They were all really solid. We managed to beat HM in about an hour and 15 minutes. Didn't get anything great, only the helmet (which I already have) from Atheon. Oh well, it was fun!

With how Iron Banner will supposedly give important to level, damage and defense this time around, time in this game is now spent working on getting better in control and perfecting my load out as a Lv30 PvP.
