My thoughts too. Flames = 2011 wild.

The road to a dynasty gets side tracked from time to time

We need backlund Colborne Raymond back. Scratch Seto Bollig we'll be just fine. Ramo starting next one, Hiller looked asleep tonight.

Nice skating by Bollig. Trips over nothing, gets up, skates slowwwwly back to his end, doesn't quite get there before the goal is scored.

It was Seto's turnover/bad penalty that was the turning point

'Meh' sums it up perfectly.

Gotta be pretty tired at this point, and a good roadtrip regardless. Going to be good to be back home.

Hopefully we see some of our injured guys come back, and this has got to be the last we see Setoguchi. I know he's our scapegoat most nights, but tonight he was a pretty significant part to the loss.

Carolina played very well, completely opposite of the way the played in Calgary. I'm sure that was some motivation as well.

The Flames came out and played well in the first and then fizzled after the second 'Canes goal. Everyone seemed off their game from Hiller to Gaudreau.

A second long road trip is over and they're coming home with a winning record. Every team is going to have several of 'these' games in a season. Hartley will have them prepared for Arizona.

Maybe, but with all the injuries on a Eastern road trip I'll give them a pass for wobbling at the finish.

That made it 2-1 and the Flames looked Ok after that for a while.

It was a clumsy turnover but I think he was left alone to try and move the puck. And it wasn't a bad penalty, as those go. Just cause by a bad turnover.

Setoguchi, as much as he hasn't produced >>>>> Bollig

He could always have dumped the puck, even if it would have been icing. But to turn it over and take a penalty just sums him up recently. And I'm not a bandwagon setoguchi hater like a lot of people on here

Not arguing that it wasn't a bad turnover. Just that he was swarmed by 3 Canes and didn't seem to have any support. You are correct, he could have iced or given up possession to centre ice at least. I think he figured he could do something better, which wasn't the right decision.

He played okay the rest of the game. Certainly no worse than half the rest of the team. The only good forwards were JG, Hudler and Granlund (the latter defensively). Monahan was very average. Jones was also average. Byron did the usual skate fast and shoot into the legs of the defence. Glencross was no good. Bouma blocked a couple but otherwise was not noticeable. Bollig was ok bashing at the offensive end, but every time the puck came out and he was just lost in his own zone.

So... pure randomness... I know that it's been mentioned that Jooris sorta looks like Gaudreau in certain angles and whatnot (I agree). I also can't help but feel Reinhart sort of looks like Ryan Smyth.

Never notice but if so, that's not good for Rino.

Ha ha. I agree. I felt bad thinking it.

This is in no way a comparison of play or no good Edmonton reference to Max.

Surprisingly, Jones looked decent tonight. But overall, yes, it's hard to find anyone that looked good tonight.

Yes, absolutely. I'm certain this has been mentioned in previous CP threads, but I agree, I think that every time I see Reinhart's face
