Totally agree with this.

Hey dude great write ups, just a quick suggestion of maybe adding more paragraphs? Would make it easier to read, but the content is excellent keep it up!

I was iffy about the Florida game, but I'm in full believer mode right now. Exciting times when you realize your team is finally on the upswing instead of watching vets not living up to expectations.

Centers could be

Monahan
Granlund
Byron
Reinhart

Average age 22.49

If Byron moves to the wing and Bouma Centers a line, the average drops to 22.26.

I'm not sure if its scary or great, or a good sign to for the future. But it must be near the youngest group of centers ever dressed for an NHL game.

Flames are doomed. Carolina has recalled Michal Jordan up from their AHL affiliate!

Game is going to be space jam on ice

He will more likely be watching from his porcelain throne if he has the flu!

It does for some people, that is usually how it starts for me even when I was a little kid.

You are mistaking what people call stomach flu (which isn't a proper term - it's gastroenteritis) with actual influenza, which doesn't involve vomiting or the runs.

Should be an easy win considering how bad they were last time we faced them.

This is a game the guys have to win if they want to take any kind of run at being a playoff contender this year. They have to have this one.

They've been hotter since then. But their goaltending doesn't scare me. Their D is pretty mediocre and their fwds are underperforming.

It's sad when my only informed contribution to CP this week is a comment on diarrhea. But the actual influenza virus very rarely presents with isolated GI symptoms. Those GI symptoms usually indicate you're dealing with something else which is much more likely and often has similar symptoms to the flu. Thus, it's pretty irrelevant nitpicking between what's flu and what isn't unless you're so sick and in ICU we need to bring out the fancy antivirals.

On a more relevant note, GO FLAMES GO! I'm betting Johnny slips through them like poop through a diarrhea-infected goose.

Wouldn't be surprised that some of those early Crosby, Malkin, Staal combinations beating that out by a significant amount. Maybe with Talbot in 2006?

Good for ex-Oiler draftee Riley Nash for making a player out of himself. He was a late round pick I thought would end up going nowhere, and if he had stayed with the Oilers that would have been the case. Being a decent second line center is a huge upgrade of playing in Europe or wherever had he stayed in Edmonton.

FAST FACT: Flames forward Paul Byron has five points — all assists — in three career meetings with the Hurricanes, his best numbers against any squad. The 25-year-old could use a goal — he hasn't hit the back of the net since the season-opener.

http://www.calgarysun.com/2014/11/10...the-hurricanes

a snippet from Wes Gilberston's column today - hopefully Byron can find the back of the twine tonite! The kid is seriously overdue - how he missed the gaping net and put the puck into the Florida goalie on Saturday was crazy. C'mon Paulie we're pullin for ya.
