All of those have already seen NHL time (except for Poirier obviously, but that should only be a matter of time) and should also be ready if needed. The cupboards are well-stocked, no doubt about it.
Which is why I think it's so silly how some members think this team will fall apart if we don't hold onto declining players like Glencross, or that we need to be "spending money" or making big trades to bolster the lineup. I strongly believe that the majority of the "rebuilt Flames" is already in the organization. Sure there is always room for improvement, but there is incredible depth within our prospect pool right now...it just needs time and patience to work itself out.

With call ups to Marcus Grandlund, Sven Baertschi, Michael Ferland and Josh Jooris, you still have Ben Hanowski, Kenny Agostino, Bill Arnold, Bryce Van Brabant, David Wolf, Corban Knight and of course Emile Poirier still on the farm. Plenty of potential options.

And that list doesn't even include the three 1st round picks we still have in the system, who will most likely make an impact in the next 2-3 years as well. They might not all be all-stars, but the Flames have to have one of the deepest prospect pools in the league right now.

The way Hanowski has been producing points down on the farm I am a little surprised they chose Max over him. I think Poirier could've gotten the call too but I understand that the Flames may want to percolate him a little more before bringing him up.

It's kind of drool inducing when you get to thinking about next seasons roster.. even only adding Bennett and Poirier would be a dynamic upgrade to the top six. Man o man these a re good times to be a Flames fan.

The Flames brass probably just wants to spread out the Calder wins over a couple of years.

Well, it often has to do with the role to be played, RH v. LH, etc.

Last time each one was up (last year) I thought Reinhart was a bit better than Hanowski. That probably factors as well.

Or they might be leery of stripping Addy too much.

Reinhart has come alive in the last 5 games. He was playing at least as good as Hanowski.

Yes and creeping in the background is the Big Jankowski. Steadily improving, quietly building his confidence for a break out NHL training camp in the years to come.

Agreed.

Reinhart has been shooting the puck (leads ADK in shots) and creating good scoring chances.

During the last home game on Nov. 1, I thought he was the most dangerous Flames player on the ice. He had lots of jump in his step and a beautiful assist (that was originally credited to Baertschi) to Van Brabant on a breakaway goal.

To be clear, Devin Setoguchi on ice for #Flames and will play tonight. Was reported incorrectly that he was hurt.

So I guess Setoguchi did get the bench.

So it's Baertschi out ...

I think that likely means a bit of two things

1) he hasn't been great
2) Byron is getting murdered in the face off dot

Reinhart moves to center, Byron to the wing

Default Update: Flames recall Max Reinhart. Setoguchi injured

Ouch for McGratten. They'd rather call someone up for sickness fill in than let him play again. Also maybe looking at an alternative to Sven?

Millions is wrong if he's suggesting Seto was never injured. Hartley said he was, Wills talked about it this morning on 960.

I think Millions probably meant there was a report he was hurt for tonites game.

wrong, Hartley specifically says at the 5:40 mark the medical staff told him Setoguchi was dealing with an injury
