Essentially that he would be accompanied, whether with a teammate/parent/stranger billet family. Wanted to make sure the kid was looked after by someone he could trust

Yes the Flames put a condition that Monahan had to stay with a billet if he was going to continue playing in the NHL, but it got cancelled when his Mom came to live with him.

Love Hudler's stick tap on the ice after he scored.
Pretty sure that's in response to Gio when he scored vs. the Caps.
I love this team.

I remember watching the Oil Change and Hall was eating macaroni and pizza all the time. The reasoning why Monahan needed a billet, teenagers have no idea how to take care of themselves with money and time.

Either that or he played against the Buffalo Sabres.

I won't stand for someone bashing the #12 when it comes to work ethic.
Culture, it seams clear there was a problem.

Agreed. Guy was always a hard worker and a great leader for the flames.

Except during October. He may have worked hard but it just wasn't at the right thing in October.

He was barely on the ice for the 3 goals and it is a coincidence. Nothing more.
|
That Chart shows something bout Baertschi
4 shifts in the first 10 minutes
7 shifts in the next 50.
Setoguchi
4 shifts in the first 10
6 in the next 50.
To me the -3 not a big deal. The fact that they are players Hartley feels he cannot trust to put on the ice, there is probably no point in having them here.

Agreed. Sometimes (actually the vast majority of the time) the team that loses didn't lose because of lack of effort. Sometimes (actually the cat majority of the time) the team that loses didn't play as well as the team that won.

I believe Monahan and Bouma are sharing a place this year.

Setoguchi was injured. He was having a pretty good game until then.

I would think Hiller, since he came in when the Flames were behind.

Its whoever was in net when the game winning goal was scored.
A goalie could play 59 minutes in a 0-0 game, get pulled for another goalie, have his team score a goal in the last minute to win and he would not get credit for the win.

Ya, I guess I didn't really specify, but that was more of a side note. Byron was pulled off their line, and all of Bollig, Baertschi, Setoguchi saw almost no shifts after the first 10 to 15 minutes.
Hartley effectively player 3 lines for a huge portion of the game.

I think what happened was that Seto got hurt (I totally missed how), and then Hartley had to revamp the lines.
Hrudey had just commented on Seto's blocks. Maybe he took a puck. Mind you, his knee power play shift was not good.
