That OT giveaway was a great example. Two guys bearing down on him, he peels back like he always does and loses the puck. Scoring chance goes the other way. That puck should have been deep.

I'm not worried about him at all, if anything he has shown that he has a superhuman ability to learn and adapt at a breakneck pace. His ability to make a difference in tighter games like this as well as wide open games like against MTL will be very important.
If teams start to play the peel back, watch for JG to fake it and drive around. He's a smart kid.

If he can't step up to the plate, or if his confidence is lacking, is that the guy we want on this team? Thats why he gets to sit when the bench is shortened, thats why he is getting passed on the depth chart by other, younger, more eager players.

So, back to the game eh. Jooris = Keeper, speed, tenacity and skill/finishing ability. Gio & Brodie outstanding as usual. Gaudreau, not his best game, but with the puck on a string, wow can he stop time.

It takes a lot of discipline for me not to check the results before I get to see the game :-)
I hear ya.

In years past, if I hadn't watched live, I'd more often than not, check the score during the day. Since last season, I don't want to miss anything. I want to savour it all - every minute. But man, it makes for a long day avoiding most of my regular sites.

I can't wait to get home to watch the Flames these days. I'm like Fred Flintstone at quitting time.

I've noticed quite a few plays like this or missing the net on a sharp angle shot and the puck coming back the other way. Quite a few turnovers. I've also noticed a few times that right away at the bench Hartley goes to talk to him, sometimes with intensity, sometimes with what looks like encouragement.

He is being taught how to be an NHL player, his skill and poise cannot be taught. Can't wait to see what the future brings and have 100% in Hartley's group at this point.

It looks so weird to see 2 defensemen leading the team in scoring. It will be interesting to see how long they can keep that going.

I think it would be a first if it ended up that way, no?

My argument against that is one tweet was sent during a game that McGrattan was playing in. I'm thinking a Flames media personnel. Maybe Hallet or Hanlon

I think he's smart enough to draft a tweet and have someone send it during the game. Are YOU going to deny Gratts?

Or, he could probably go to the room and tweet in the 10 minutes or so between shifts

It would make the most sense if it's Mcgrattan. So many of the tweets are about situations off the ice with the team that is has to be someone on the team.

Why not Hallet or Hanlon? They're always around for photo ops and on the plane...

I guess it's better than when flameswin made that other winning PGT all about attendance.
