Well, in his defense, I think Monahan is adjusting to "non-sheltered" minutes and playing against tougher opposing lines, which has been magnified with the injuries to Stajan and Backlund.

Monahan is centering the top line and playing against top d men. This isn't last year when he played against 2nd/3rd pairing D. Let him adjust.
