I know that many players are burned out on this franchise, but this annual version of Call of Duty actually looks pretty good. If you bought the Day Zero edition you can start playing at 10pm tonight. (Also get double XP for the day)
With so many players on PS4 from Destiny, hoping there will be a few picking this up.

I'm gonna see what I can get for some trade ins and probably grab it tomorrow. Would be fun to start up a clan. The clan system in Destiny really didn't seem to do anything.
I've been pretty invested in cod for the past 5-6 years, but ghosts kind of turned me off a bit. I've hit top level prestige in black ops 1 and 2, and mw3, but I didn't even play ghosts past 5th prestige.
I've been too caught up in Destiny to even look forward to advanced warfare.
That being said, I'll definitely be playing cod a lot in the next few weeks I'm sure.
Too bad everyone on cp seems to be ps4 owners.

I played last night for about 3 hours. I will hopefully never have to do a midnight launch again. With the game pre-loaded on my console, the Day Zero edition unlocked right at 10, and it was awesome!
Some impressions:
Single Player - If you have played a Call of Duty game you know what you are getting. Big set pieces, a clean 6 hour experience and that is about it. I am about 4 missions in and one nod I will give is the story seems a heck of lot easier to follow then previous games. Having an actor like Kevin Spacey elevates the story a bit, and there is no jumping around to other viewpoints like previous games.
Multiplayer:
-Oh boy, so the big change in this is you can now double jump (thanks to the exo) and also strafe quickly left/right/back/forward. It adds a speed and vertical awareness to the maps that was not available before. Guns also feel good. Like really good. Shooting someone feels much more satisfying then Ghosts. It also feels like Black Ops in its "Pick 13" for perks. (Black Ops had Pick 10)
All in all, really enjoying this one so far, and I'd say reviews are right on at about 7.5-8. Not gonna redfine the genre, but a return to some great Call of Duty action.

I've been thinking about picking it up but might wait for a sale later on. Saw a commercial for it last night during the Walking Dead and couldn't believe how insane the game play looked. Made me long for a Call of Duty WW2 game.

THIS. I got the same feeling after seeing the trailer during the Flames game last night. Call of Duty lost it's soul a long time ago.
Loving the single player. Actually really varied and keeping me hooked. Blazed through about 5 chapters without even realizing it. Probably one of my favourites since Black Ops 1.
Multiplayer: matches are fast. Real fast. Coming from Destiny, the pace may be off-putting, but damn if it isn't addictive. Most death matches finish in 6-7 minutes. If you like some twitch shooting, this is the king, and I have been enjoying it quite a bit.
Still sticking with my early impressions. A pretty damn fun game so far.

I realize the multiplayer is their bread and butter but it wouldn't hurt for them to make a single player campaign that's at least 10 hours long. I've actually enjoyed some (not all) of the single player campaigns over the years but they are always so short and I'm not a big multiplayer guy.
