Glen Healy Is No Good

I don't really care about the Johnny Hockey thing, but I will agree that Healy is a complete nozzle.

I wish I could find that clip with him, Kyper and a couple of others talking from a few months back, he was babbling like an idiot about how Calgary needs to start losing to get better draft picks or something like that and the others were looking at him like he was a total donkey.

I remember during the lockout a few years ago when they had the regular panel with Burke and Strachan and Healey and others on.

Strach and Healy were so pro union that it was utterly ridiculous.

I think Burke finally lost his temper on both of them on live T.V. and basically called Stachan out as a B.S. artist and on another interview went after Healy hard.

Sports journalism which isn't a serious business is rapidly going over to unprepared self propagandists like Healy and Francis and Doh'biggen and away from guys who actually are knowlegable about the game and can talk about it without bringing themselves into the conversation.

Healy was a loser player and his broadcasting career is even worse. He sucks at everything. I hear he can't even tie a knot. He routinely misses his massive mouth when eating bananas.

I still remember during the one I think lockout when Healy was waxing poetically about how great a guy Goodenow was, and how he was so concerned about the four line guys and fring guys.

"He talked to me more when I was a back up goalie then when I was a star goalie in this league"

Which made me laugh.

I don't think you can solely blame Healy for what he says. Most people don't have any control over how dumb they are, and that man is dumb.

I always thought Healey hated the Flames but it turns out he hates everything. I don't think I've ever heard him say a positive thing in his life. He's the complete opposite of Kelly Hrudey.

I think he's trying to set himself up to be Don Cherry's replacement whenever Don retires. The problem is that he doesn't have Cherry's "everyman" style that let's him get away with saying the stuff he does.

I assume since he played for the Leafs that he's popular in the GTA? I don't know a single person in any other fan base that likes him even a little. I can only assume that he's popular in Toronto as I can see no other reason such an unlikeable personality remains employed by Canadian broadcasters.
