The Islanders and Sharks are tied 1-1 in the third period and it has been that score since the first period. The Sharks out shot the Islanders 17-6 in the first period, since then it has been a dull game. Okposo has the goal for the Islanders and Hertl with a power play goal for the Sharks.

They just had Ference explaining his hit on Kassian. "I was surprised I got a penalty." He had such a smug smile when he said it. He's such a hatable player.

That should do it for the Islanders, the Sharks should hang on for the win.

just based on the optics of the Canucks just having someone suspended for a heat hit, Ference I think they said on the broadcast is a repeat offender, I would be surprised if he got less than 4

Guy's been doing it for years. Typical Edmonton, they seem shocked when referees dare to call a penalty against them. "But, but, we're the Oilers"

Looked like the linesman grew up an Oiler fanboy, waving off clear offsides on his Oilers.

It really is not if Hall gets injured but when. He's going to have a really short career in the NHL I think, just zero sense of self preservation with him

I wasn't aware that Ference was a repeat offender. (Doesn't surprise me though) I'm thinking 3-5 games.

Edit: Ference got one game for a hit on Grabovski in 2013.

Is this the same Ference that firstly claimed a "glove malfunction" when he flipped off Habs fans? Not surprising

The part of tonight that made my opinion of ference sink even lower was how he basically forced stempniak to fight him last year for a clean hit... Last night he throws a dirty hit and then refuses to answer the bell. It was the kind of crap a so called agitator like cooke pulls and I'm sure he will have to answer for it on ice later in the season.

With Carolina's surprising first win of the season against the Coyotes last night, the Oilers are now the only team in the NHL without a win against a WC opponent. Every EC team has at least one.

Next few WC opponents:

Nashville (Nov 11)
Arizona (Nov 16)
Vancouver (Nov 19)
Chicago (Nov 22)

Yeah, not happening Edmonton

I haven't been able to stand Andrew Ference his last 5 years in the league. Guy is such a jackass.

If you're going so far as saying it's a "Trolling" comment. My guess is you think they both suck.

Reimer: .929
Bernier: .917

And keep in mind, both face a ton of shots.

Give me the huge list you have of better tandems.

5.2 million for both is great value.

They are not the best goalie tandem in the NHL. Simple as that.
