Website has him at 3 points (all assists) in 10 games. He had one assist last game.

I would take local PBP comments with a grain of salt. Minor and junior PBP guys are real homerish.

AHL website had 2 assists for Sven yesterday, but they've changed it today. SureLoss posted it in the Adirondack thread earlier.

Treliving was watching the game last night, despite just picking up one assist (his 3rd in 3 games) he must have liked what he saw in Sven's game to deserve the call up. Stats don't tell the whole story.

Well, disagree with Sven getting the call. This wasn't earned. Maybe he had a good game last night, but he wasn't the most deserving of a call up.

You should go read the quotes on both Reinhart and Baertschi. This is deserved. Both players have been working incredibly hard.

All you seem to be doing is looking at stats and basing your judgement off of that.

He's been consistently great for a long stretch. Aside from a cold hands, he's played just as well as Granlund and Ferland.

Well, for many on here, can I assume this trumps 89 and the 04 and 86 runs as the greatest moment in Flames history. Finally, the organizational goal of having Sven in the NHL has arrived!

Drury18 is a very good resource for AHL Flames news, follows them closely and watches most if not all the games, I respect what he has to say.

There is always more to it then that though. Treliving was at the game last night, and Baertschi must be working (and improving) on whatever they told him to at the start of the year and they think he deserves a call up. The organization hasn't exactly been easy on the Swiss kid, so I do find it hard to say it's not deserved.

I think most of the quotes on Reinhart and Sven are posted by either Drury or PMM in the back burner forum.

Easy with the generalizations brush, Drury follows the AHL Flames closer than anyone else on this forum.

Hopefully this jolts Baertchi into action. Not the best start for him down in the A.

He's been playing very well for the last handful of games. Last night he only had one assist but from listening to the game his name was a constant on the broadcast. Consistently in on the play and getting chances. Our GM was in attendance, watching the game with his own two eyes so he must have liked what he saw.
