Guy is a complete scumbag and a disgrace to the game. Obvious stems from more than just this play, but nice to see he's starting to get what he deserves.

They should suspend the ref for missing that. Led directly to a Canucks goal.

To recap:

1. Alex Burrows is a total ###### bag
2. He only attempts to hit players when they are off balance
3. He will hide from having to be held accountable for his actions.

As a result, he has been suspended for 3 games.

It was pretty sad listening to the Canucks homers try to justify it on the broadcast last night.

"Oh yeah, and uh, Emelin is already off balance, so it make it just look worse than it is, and Burrows needs to play on the edge like this, so yeah"

Yes Garrett is the worst for justifying crap the Canucks do. In fairness he was the same way when he did colour for the Flames, but he comes off like a total idiot.

Garrett is worse than Drew Remenda. Now that's bad.

Thankfully he's now established as having supplemental discipline for on-ice incidents. Now maybe he can get a 10 or 20 game suspension that he's deserved for awhile now. Also can't wait until he starts getting the max fine for diving.

Don't worry, he'll eventually come to his senses and start biting people.

Sounds like 1 game for the hit to the head, 1 game for interference, .5 games for two illegal plays at once, .5 games for repeat offender.

I'm fine with the 3 games, I just now hope these calls are consistent. No place for these plays in the game. I really do think there was no malicious intent on the hit, but he did connect with the head and 3 games is fine.

After hearing Remenda doing Oilers broadcasts I would have to agree. Garrett is the Alexander Burrows of broadcasting. A total disgrace.

Back to the topic it's nice to see the NHL come down on this dirt bag who is truly one of the all time biggest weasels the NHL has seen. He has a nice warm spot next to Matt Cooke on the NHL all-worst team

No problem with the 3 games.

Could someone explain how Moore only got 5 games with the severity of his illegal action.

3 times as bad as the POS.

The single reason why fighting needs to stay in the game: Alex Burrows. What a coward

Burrows needs to be put on a rocket and fired into the sun.

Yeah. It's a great deterrent. Only reason he did that last night was because McGrattan wasn't there to scare him

How so? Fighting is still in the game, and these hits still happen. How many of the violators actually get their face punched in for these hits?

Fighting stays because most fans like fighting.

Globally, threat of violence or retaliation does not stop anyone who carries the intent to injure.

Unfortunately this is Burrow's first offence. 3 games is good.
