You know it's funny but I find it maddening how long it takes my wife to get ready to go anywhere with her hair and makeup. If things were truly equal she would hop out of the shower, comb her hair, get dressed and go like me but nope as it's an hour to put on her makeup and get her hair perfect. Even if society preached that women don't need to dress or look a certain way to appease men most of them would still do it because women actually like to look as attractive as possible and it's not necessarily about impressing men as it's some weird competitive thing women have amongst each other where non of them want to look bad in front of the other. It's kind of the whole flaw in the equality argument in that you are always going to have both sexes going out of their way trying to attract the other or even acquaintances of the same sex.
Tall Dark and Handsome is what a lot of women want and it's truly sexist but I don't see an army of activists trying to make things equal for short guys. At least guys like women to look a certain way that is achievable in that they just need to be attractive and have some curves. That is attainable for a lot of women through diet and exercise if they aren't naturally gifted but short guys are condemned and lets not pretend that male models aren't subjected to the same requirements as female models. They have to be tall, ripped, square jaw, etc. Bottom line is that most of this arguing is pure nonsense as there simply isn't a perfect solution when dealing with equality amongst sexes.

I know it's been said already, but it bears repeating:
I don't think anyone gives a #### about how the FI girls dress and they certainly don't want to dictate their attire.
They do however give a #### that the Flames organization condones their uh, uniforms.
I certainly couldn't give a #### if you wanted to wear underpants made of clear duct tape, but if you were a plumber and your employer mandated it as part of your work dress, I probably wouldn't want you fixing my toilet.
Essentially, it boils down to "Why?", not "Don't!".

"Why not?" We really haven't heard any compelling arguments against their attire outside of one guy that is having a hard time coming to grips with his daughters hitting puberty (I can sympathize with him here but he will get over it in time).

I mean come on guys, lets at least be intellectually honest about this. Don't pretend you're some massive proponent of a womans right to choose.
Just admit it's all about tits and ass and we can at least move forward with "Tits and ass at hockey games provided by the management, y/n?"

How does one cover tits an ass without wearing a large overcoat? What exactly are you suggesting here? Women have tits and an ass. Why do you feel they need to be covered up? Is there something wrong with tits? Why should we hold it against women that they have them?

The better question is why do the male members of the ice maintenance staff at the Flames were tracksuits?

Why do I have to wear pants to work on a hot summer day and women can wear skirts?

Are the males supposed to wear skirts? Typically females wear female clothing and males wear male clothing. Would it be better if the females wore tracksuits? I'd imagine you'd still see their ass if not more in a tracksuit. Or is it their tits that drive you crazy? What amount of clothing would suffice?

Probably because men don't typically wear skirts. The girls tops are essentially fitted jerseys. As the Captain's pictures illustrated they are pretty tame. Also ask yourself what the girls would rather wear tracksuits if given the chance. You know the answer.

Oh God! Why does everything have to be inclusive?
One of the first things you learn in business school is know your audience and market your product to them. While a lot of women love hockey, it's safe to say that the majority of hockey fans, the ones that are willing to put down a huge chunk of their salary to watch the games at least are men. Men like looking at young, attractive women. It's not hard to do the math.
The society some of you want us to live in is downright pathetic.

I don't mind admitting that. I think a lot of people are fine with that in this thread.

Also, why don't they get the same recognition that the ice girls get? I don't see the male ice crew with a website section and q&a bios. The guys out there deserve an equal opportunity to promote themselves in front of the fans.

Tight yoga pants are very fashionable. That would probably be a good compromise.

When I watch on TV, the majority of ads are clearly aimed at men, for manly stuff like greasy burgers, trucks, and sprays designed to minimize or mask dude-stank.
Pretty well all professional team sports are the same - played by men, watched by men more than women. I doubt that will ever change unless women's team sports become as popular as men's. A young girl might idolize a player, but a young boy can (however unrealistically) dream of BEING that player, which has a far more profound appeal.

Not arguing that point at all. In fact agree with everything you've said. It's a man's world. You don't have to tell me, I live in it.
However should one fan be more important than another? Does my money not spends as well as a male's? In my opinion the Flames are only pandering to male sex appeal when they employ the F&I girls and it doesn't really seem necessary at a hockey game for people of all ages and genders.
Would it not be smarter to engage all the fans instead of (using your numbers) leaving out a third that paid to sit in those seats?
I honestly don't care if the F&I girls are there. Like I said before they don't deter me from going to the dome. I just don't enjoy them and therefore I ignore them when I can. They are a lot easier to ignore than the Cowboy's girls "bouncing" down the narrow concourse when I just need to get to the ladies room.

As the husband of a woman who runs a womens fashion blog, no, they aren't.
They are the womens equivalent of not shaving in the morning because you just don't give a ####.

What lack of clothing would suffice for you. I mean if they were topless can you imagine how perky their nipples would be? You might even be able to nip out during the game and fire one down range in the crapper.
A tracksuit is logical as they are doing the same job as their male counterpart(s). Are you suggesting that they wouldn't be able to do their job in a tracksuit?
