Matt Stajan is one of the game's great guys..hearing his knee injury is severe. Likely ligament damage. Waiting confirmation. #Flames

You could tell as soon as it happened that it wasn't some minor tweak. I wouldn't be too surprised if he was out for the rest of the season.

Never like seeing a guy injured, but on the bright side, Granlund should get a long look.

No surprise, given we don't play again until Friday night. Lots of time for call-ups if necessary.

The Heat play tonight in a few hours, they're only at 13 forwards. Flames don't play until Friday so no rush. If the big club is going to call anyone up, let the Heat play tonight and see if anyone really pushes for it.

No sign of #Flames Colborne and Stajan at today’s practice. Everyone else expected to be here accounted for.

Other thing that hurts is that with Stajan and Colborne out it means that Backlund goes back to being our go-to defensive line.

Meaning you have to move Johnny off his line just when they were starting to develop some chemistry.

That was a very entertaining game. A lot of guys had a great game. Really liked Glencross and Jones, thought they had some excellent shifts and a lot of chances. If Jones can stay healthy and get his game back he could be an important piece moving forward.

Feel bad for Stajan, thought his last couple of games were his best all year, him and Glencross just work together. I guess we see Granlund up here soon.

There would be a chunk of those fans who are Flames fans when the Habs aren't in town I imagine....same as the seeming swarm of Leaf, Flyer, Bruin and Red Wing fans that appear out of nowhere.

Not that many of us are selling our tickets to original six games...are we?

Stajan injury sucks. Only bright spot is another young player will get a chance. I hope it's Granlund.

Part of the reason that game was so exciting was because the crowd was so into it! If the dome was full of Flames fans, you can be damn sure it wouldn't have been as loud. Also, the Habs get this kind of support all over the place, you can't be really that surprised or upset about it. I think it actually makes the game more enjoyable because the regular fans who sit on their hands and check their phone all game, are actually engaged and cheering / chanting to try and drown out the Habs fans.

The best sports games to go to in this city every year are the Eskimos and (in particular) Riders games for the Stamps, and the Canuck/Leaf/Oiler/Canadien games for the Flames. Nothing is better than that atmosphere where there's a nice 70-30 or so split between fans, way more fun, way more engaged audience, so much trash talking. Fans always look forward to those games because it's such a fun environment.

What does that even mean?

Also, Price admitted after the game that Gaudreau beat him clean in the shootout and he was lucky that the puck hit his toe.

Means he should have buried it and didn't. Next time I guarantee he makes sure to bury it.

God damn Roger exaggerating or rushing to Twitter before all the facts are in. Ends up being just over a month he'll be out, that's not severe.

Four of the other five shooters also failed to bury it...and Johnny was closest of all of them

What's your point? He had a wide open net and all he had to do is put some mustard on it, instead he tried a cute little chip that didn't work out.

All I said is I'm sure he learned from his mistake, God forbid if someone said anything remotely negative about precious.
