I bet the folks at Sportsnet are getting excited for the chance to broadcast Granlund's first NHL goal this weekend.

I also bet Healey also demands Markus changes his last name until he becomes the same caliber player as his brother.

I was about to post that they should be paired up. Showed good chemistry in camp before Granlund injury. Has the IQ to know where Johnny wants him to be and has that cannon of a wrist shot to compliment.

Like they would even be that close. They'll probably show a picture of Seth Jones.

I kind of think that if the Oilers had a player like Granlund, that Leon would be sent down. lol!

And then interview him after, addressing him as Mikael while raving over his first NHL goal.

At a lack of english to respond with, Markus finally mutters "vittu tama" and walks off.

Can't wait for Friday to see Granlund play.

The team living up to Always Earned Never Given so far this season

6 weeks for Stajan and day-to-day for Colborne is extremely good news, I expected both injuries to be much worse

excited to see Granlund in NHL action again, really liked his play when he was up last season

Just as interesting as how Hartley adjusts the lines without Colborne and Stajan and inserts Granlund, will be who Ferland gets to play with in Adirondack.

If Colborne is indeed out for an extended time (which I hope he isn't), you have to assume Ferland will get the call.

I think Granlund and Ferland (whenever he gets called up) manage to stick and force something to happen. IIRC, Hartley loved Granlund on his last call-up, and used him in many key situations, including important defensive zone draws and assignments. I am betting he doesn't get sent down.

I can picture either Granlund or Ortio pulling this. They have that kind of humour.

This doesn't leave much for the junior Flames. That team could really use a Ben Street right about now.

Good for Granlund though. Hopefully he forces some really tough decisions 6 weeks from now.

Big question to me is whether or not Granlund sticks. I think he could if there's room.

Feel bad for Addy though.

Hoping Granlund plays so well they can't send him back when all are healthy
