M. Gelinas was on the fan after the game. He said they thought they'd try wideman on the pp because he has the best right-handed shot on the team.

I like the new ones.
Wasn't KOHO bought out by Reebok? Interesting he can still get pads with KOHO on them.

Edit: Quick google search and he is the only goalie in the NHL or international who wears KOHO..... I wonder what the deal is.

Here's the Stajan knee-on-knee collision.

http://postimg.org/image/pi1kuuzgv/

That looked horrible. Would be surprised if his leg's not broken.

If he's not out for most of the season, I'll be amazed. That was ugly.

I seriously hope that it's not a career threatening injury.

Yikes. I'll be very surprised if Stajan isn't gone for a couple of months at least.

I feel really bad for Stajan i'd imagine he's out at least 6-8 weeks from that he's been a very good utility player for us this year.

That being said I really think Granlund will embrace this opportunity and become a full time NHLer from this injury.

Re watching the highlights, the goal that was waved off early in the 2nd period because Markov slid and knocked the net off is complete BS. How the hell is that not goal let alone and fricking penalty?

The response I want is for mcgrattan (or Bollig, engelland, glencross, etc.) to beat the $&@! out of a guy that sucker punches gaudreau for no reason. Especially when the guy didn't get a penalty for it. I want the whole league to know you will be targeted for going after the kids. The flames have the scariest guy in the league. They need to use him. Guaranteed he'll be in the lineup against the Habs next time.

Why would we shout this out? Whoever did this was disgraceful to the team, the fans and the league. Someone could've been injured.

The Flames shouldn't depend on just McGrattan to enforce for the young kids.... the whole team should stop being pussies and stick up for anyone who are getting harassed. Bollig and Smid are the only ones who seem to be sticking up for teammates. Pitiful.

Jones was the first man in after Stajan took that knee tonight.

Also Engelland has been pretty good sticking up for guys this season IMO.

The way and direction his leg bowed, i bet he has an MCL sprain at the least.

Nowadays it's not. Look at Adrian Peterson for example.

Really, really sucks to see Stajan out. But, now we get to see a call up.

Have Byron play center, and lets call up Ferland. He deserves to get some playing time up here.

That hit on Stajan, I can't bring myself to say it's dirty as I don't think he meant to lead with his knee but Tinordi definitely went from playing the puck to trying to take Stajan out with what may have been a borderline hit (looked like his elbow was pretty close to where Stajan's head would've been if not for the knee). Regardless, looks like it was the change in direction that caught Stajan off-guard so he took the brunt of that. Hope it's not serious but from the way it looked, there could be some serious ligamentous damage.

i only watched from the 3rd period onwards. Flames looked great. Gaudreau was all over the ice, which was great to see. Team just couldn't get one past price who looked great.

unfortunate to see stajan get hurt. Can't tell if it was dirty, looked almost incidental, where the 2 guys couldnt' avoid making contact there. He could be out a while.

How bad did it look for colborne? If him and stajan are out, does that force the flames to have to callup at least 1 guy from the Heat?

Remember when a bunch of Canadiens fans wanted to trade Price after the 09 run and keep Halak instead? Another textbook example of why fans aren't GM's. Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make. Price has developed into an outstanding goalie. Halak? Not so much.

If McGrattan is jumping guys that don't want to fight he won't be much of a deterrrant to anyone as he will be suspended for most of the season.

Plus putting in McGrattan next game against the Habs is a win for Montreal as it makes the Flames a worse team on the ice and McGrattan does nothing to scare the Canadiens as nobody on that team will fight him.

McGrattan would be a huge disadvantage against a team who can skate like Montreal.

First time since 2002 the Habs have won in Calgary. Pacioretty couldn't handle the puck last night if he had a bucket. Bourque continues to float and do pretty much nothing out there. Montreal took some bad penalties (Subban, Eller, Parenteau), but I'm still scratching my head as to why there was no call on Jones when he attacked Tinordi after the knee. Price is incredible. Kept them in the game.
