Even with seven PPs and 3 PKs ten minutes each in a 65 minute game is low...
On the other hand, Brodie leading yet again with 28+

I'll call out Smid and Englland if they look terrible or scre up, but they were ok, which is all you can ask of your 5/6 guys. They were fine.
Russell, actually played the most minutes with 29 - just 0:30 more than Brodie.
I'm loving this hockey team.

In preseason, a comment was made on here that perhaps Johnny couldn't showcase his talent as his AHL teammates never expected a pass or couldn't think as quickly as he could. I sometimes feel that his NHL teammates struggle with this too. The spin-O-Rama pass to Byron was highlight real material. Byron didn't know it was coming.
Good game all around and it somehow feels like a win. Only complaint is how Hartley kept going back to Monahan Hudler and Glencross as the first pp unit. Thiught the second pp unit earned a few more pp minutes.
That early 5 on 3 and ensuing pp could have changed things up. I don't see a scenario where you can leave Gaudreau on the bench in a 5 on 3 especially when he wasn't on the ice for the 5 on 4 pp so he was fresh.
Gaudreau had his best game of his NHL career. Love watching this kid skate with the puck.

What an entertaining hockey game. I think the team just continues to improve. The young guys are slowly getting better every night. I think the last two games Hiller has very slowly started to open up a gap on him and Ramo, I think you'd need to go back to 4 seasons ago Kipper to the last time I felt this good when shots are hitting the net.
Flames need to take more shots sonnet in the plays. I actually thought there was way too much passing looking for the perfect shot, which actually ended up in shots from worse angles.
i went to the young stars tournament to watch gaudreau, and tonight felt like those games where you were just on the edge of your seat everytime he touched the puck. so fun to watch when he plays like that.
