We're actually 28-28-28-28-27-26 lol. Yeah at the end we tried using my titan flash bangs on it. Seemed to help a lot.
Really our biggest issue is just overall execution inside the portals. We've got a handle on the harpies on the outside. But man that scramble to kill all the oracles while those spawns are on you and being void marked is just a general clusterfata lol.

My group (5x 28, 1x 27) also spent about two hours on Aetheon last night. We kept encountering a bug where one person from the portal team would be sent to a weird realm with no other players or enemies, completely taking them out of the fight. Needless to say, it was incredibly frustrating to have so many attempts ruined to a stupid bug.
Has anyone else encountered that before? We read on the web that sprinting through the portal can sometimes cause problems, so we made 100% sure not to do that, but we still had the issue.

Yeah it's a known bug. The trick is to walk through the portal, not sprint.
Edit: Whoops saw you tried that. My bad. Worked for us though

So I tried the raid for the first time on the weekend, and encountered that same glitch with the portal. About 1 in 3 times I would sprint through and...not get teleported back to the fight.
Not a huge deal...except for the fact that portal travel at the best of times is hugely disorientating, and the void blindness effect is already about 75% by the time I figure out where I am. Felt so useless to the team.
Actually, in all, I was not a fan of the raid. Too much of a shift from the other game mechanics. Also, I'm not keen on spending 4+ hours again only to not finish.
The Nightfall strike is more my style. Challenging, but sticks to the core mechanic of "shoot things in the head". Nice and simple, I can manage that.

Finally finished it! So tough but way more satisfying than I thought it would be, even though all I got in the end was a shader and some shards lol. My friend got that void auto rifle though.

I've done it once now too. I actually got the void auto rifle. Its interesting though. A 70 bullet clip with full fire rate. It is not the easiest thing to control. Their are some upgrades that will combat the recoil though, so I am looking forward to that. Even without the upgrades and no damage, minotaurs are no longer a match for me,which I imagine will come in handy if I ever want to try VOG on hard.

Feels like that expansion had taken soooo long already, but i guess the game has only been out for 1.5 months.

I'd like to give them $5 for just the multiplayer maps, but that's probably not an option.

More interested in what they've got in the next 5 weeks.
Can only play so much Crucible.

Thank you to Steve and Graves for inviting me to a Raid last night. It was my first and it was thrilling to say the least, we came so close but in the end it was those dam portal glitches that prevented us from beating the last boss battle..........well that and my wife telling me i had to come to bed, lol. I believe i handled myself pretty well for my first try and look forward to getting back in there. I'm so bloody addicted to this game that i haven't even opened FIFA 15 & Shadow which are both still wrapped in the plastic, lol.

Don't thank me, it was Steve's raid and he did a great job leading last night. Was a learning experience for me as well since I'd always just had to guard the exit portals during Atheon but I think most everyone did well learning when to pick up the relic and how to use it by the end. Just those ridiculous portal glitches kept screwing us over at exactly the wrong times.

Yeah, I actually prefer the random teleports, forces everyone to become better at all of the various aspects o the fight, making us better players in the long run.
I'm in Toronto all week and have hockey tonight, but I'm going to try and find some time to try Atheon again. Maybe if my wifi is solid in Toronto I can Vita the fight.

Man I wish I had a PS4. I'm a level 30 looking for good guys to play with, but am still on the 360. If anyone on that archaic system needs a hand with anything, give me a shout. Hopefully I'll see the rest of you guys online in the next month or two.

Still love this game, but it is really hurting from lack of content. Really the only thing to do is level guns and blast throught the weeks content on Tuesday. Cmon Bungie, you just made a zillion bucks, pump it back into the game before you start losing the player base on trade ins

I'm a little surprised they didn't release any new content to coincide with call of duty's release.
I still really enjoy Destiny, but with the massive gap between new content, bungie might start losing players to other games as they start to drop.

I got bored once the levelling up switched to light... it just seemed to be all the same
I haven't even opened it in a couple weeks and now that CoD is out, I think it's a trade in

Ya I haven't fired Destiny up in a few weeks now because it's just so dull once you hit the mid-high 20's. PvP is too gimmicky to be taken seriously, so once you've run all the strikes for the 50th time and get bored of trying to find a group for the raid there's nothing to do

Bungie recently admitted that DLC content is already on the discs and there's something about that which just rubs me the wrong way. If the DLC was completed at the time of launch it's nickel and diming IMO to charge to unlock it. IMO this is a dangerous precedent as if this works out well for Bungie/Activision I feel more games in the future will start coming out where you end up paying retail for only half the game and get continually charged piece by piece for the rest of the game. I enjoyed the game for the short time it lasted but I'm on the fence on whether I should support their cause by shelling out more money for what's already on the disc I paid full retail for.
