Web developer/content person had a spreadsheet. They asked for appropriate copy/label from another department for weeks. In the meantime they still had to get their job done, so they said eff it, and put the label in as "fat girl costumes". Assuming it would never be seen outside the development environment.
At every update employee #1 noted that "I need a proper titled for this data", they were ignored. "Test" data from the development environment got pushed to the live site because the photos/prices/descriptions were accurate.

That's exactly what my thought was, every developer or even content manager has a "Choose appropriate placeholders" moment...

Except now instead of stealing the catalogues from my Mom's room, I can browse from the comfort of my own home!

I had a web guy do that on one of my websites. We both laughed pretty hard when we saw it, but this is different. Wow, what a horrible 'accident'. (Using proper place holders is the only way to go.)

An unfortunate mistake. These are clearly women's costumes, not girl's costumes.

that's brutal... Whoever let something like this happen at walmart should suffer consequences. Our society already has such a problematic image issue, particularly for girls/women, and this just feeds into that.

Suffer consequences for a minor oversight? Go get'em Sherrif, let's string him up.

People these days. I'd bet there'll be hell to pay when Starbucks is out of gluten-free ethically raised quinoa bars.

So the fact that all the costumes are labelled 'Plus Size Adult' didn't give them even the slightest hint as to what an appropriate place holder would be?

Just sad that fat shaming is still so widely accepted, no need to string up anyone.

Exactly Thor. I'm sure terminator is trying to be funny. Maybe he really feels that way. Maybe he should learn to keep it to himself.
