“The RCMP is conducting a detailed analysis of the video for evidence and intelligence. You must understand that we cannot release this video at this time and I would ask for your patience in this regard,” Paulson wrote in his statement.
Paulson said the Mounties are also focusing on his actions leading up to the attack, including his time spent working in Alberta and interactions with "numerous individuals."
The shooter had worked in the oil fields in Alberta and saved significant amount money, the RCMP said.
“He had access to a considerable amount of funds. We are investigating all of his disbursements in the period leading up to the attack,” said Paulson.
As part of the ongoing investigation the RCMP are still working to identify where and when he obtained the “old and uncommon gun” used in Wednesday’s attack in Ottawa.
I am proud to say that i have not said that coward's name nor (to my recollection) repeated it in an email or online post.
I refer to him as "the coward", the "murderer" or "Nathan Cirillo's murderer". Come up with your own words, but dont dignify the ####### by using his name.

I for one don't think it's a big deal to use his name. He was a crack and heroin addict... He was a drifter who was more or less disowned by his family. Let the would be terrorists have this guy as a role model. Maybe it would inspire someone going down that path to snap out of their ideology-inspired delirium and get help?

I caught part of the funeral during the lunch hour. Seeing Cpl Cirillo's son with his beret glengarry and waiving the Canadian flag, tore me up inside. Especially being a father of a kid about that same age.
What sort of survivor benefits does Cpl Cirillo's son get, him being a reservist?
I would encourage anyone who can donate to the trust setup, to do so...

His son will get the same as a Reg Force soldier. When "on duty" there is not difference when it comes to this type of thing, if memory serves.
Second it was a Glengarry he was wearing.

Among critics, the NHL has this perception for being a league full of a bunch goons because fighting is allowed... but fans know that time and time again they've proven to be the classiest of them all...
The Sens and Leafs, together, visited the War Memorial in Ottawa this morning.

I can't help thinking that the timing of the release of these photos is too conspicuous at this point in the election campaign, especially with the wedge issue of the niqab at centre stage. Am I too cynical in suspecting this is politically driven to manipulate people's emotional reactions? Sickening if true.
