Very much want!

On a related note, there are currently two Antonov 124's parked at the airport.

The last time I ever recall seeing two here at once was after Desert Storm and two came to pickup fire fighting equipment from Safety Boss for the well fires in Kuwait.

Not sure on their departure times.

I know very little about such things, but I suppose them departing in parallel off the two runways is out of the question? Because that would be pretty boss.

The chances of them both departing at the same time are incredibly low, so as awesome as that would be I highly doubt we'll see it. They arrived about 8 hours apart from one another.

One of the Antonov's has just filed its flight plan, departing YYC at 1700 for CFB Goose Bay:

I also saw 2 fighter jets land from the south on the new runway, at about 3:30 today, although I couldn't tell what they were. Sort of looked like blue angles but weren't the right kind of jet...

This has probably been asked before but are there any good locations to hang out and watch planes take off and land along the new runway?

That should have been an aborted approach as soon as he had that first big wing dip. I bet their chief pilot will have something to say when he sees this video.

This guide breaks it down pretty well. I really haven't had a lot of time to spend at the field since the runway opened so I can't really give a verdict on any of the spots.

Spoiler!
