Great game by the Flames.
I doubt Carolina wins a game all season.

Complete game boys!
Few goals to relieve frustrations. Goalie rewarded with a shut out finally. I still start ramo next game lol! Crazy goaltending but they were not called upon tonight.
Wow is Carolina bad! Is there any heart on that team? Boys we best cheer for the playoffs cause first overall aint coming our way.

I missed Hrudey's roasting of Semin. Anyone kind enough to give a brief summary?

Carolina do suck, but can a stats guy tell me the last time they lost by 5 goals in an NHL game? They haven't lost by more than 2 goals this season and I can't find a game last season that they lost by 5 goals.
So massive credit to the Flames, the offence really turned it on tonight. Some superb passing and finishing. And those who didn't contribute in points worked hard in all 3 zones and had solid shifts like Gaudreau and Backlund. Really pleasing effort from everyone out there tonight.
Seriously, is anyone else starting to get optimistic about this current 18, plus the 2 goalies? If the majority of this core group can stay fit and keep this level of compete up, I'm starting to get the feeling we'll be struggling to pick in the top 10.

Semin had a chance for a potential for a tap in goal after Lindholm did a bunch of work. Hrudy said when he said that he was hoping it would bounce over a stick as it would have been a shame for him to score there.
He went on to say that Semin was lazy barely breaks a sweat and for him to have all that talent, with the Staal brothers out he needs to step up and he's basically just mailed it in.

Hrudey calling out Semin was the highlight of the night. That was awesome listening to Hrudey trash Semin for his indifferent play.

Monahan gets the raging baboon with the death grip off his back. Bollig was good, first time I really noticed him, Glenx was good, Stajan had a good game for a change. Jooris looks like a keeper (as a depth guy). Defense is just doing what they're doing. Hiller is stellar. Gaudreau had a responsible game, too bad not enough time in the offensive zone to contribute.
Well earned win. Wish Carolina put up a bit more of a challenge, though (had trouble staying awake in the middle frame there). Or maybe we're just not giving enough credit to the textbook team game the boys put on display.

Nope. Anaheims got 12 points.
Easiest points of the year probably, nice to see the team take full advantage of it

So much fun to watch a game wherein the Flames compete for a full 60 minutes, the vets play the way they should, and Hiller with a shutout. Great night to be a Flames fan.
Edit: Bloody hell, how could I forget to extol the virtues of Moneyhands? He was on fire!!!

Monahan, Hudler, and Colborne back together = good.
Stajan and Glencross back together = also good.
Congrats to Hiller on his first shutout as a Flame!

Semin definitely got the Rene Bourque treatment from Hrudey tonight.
