"Mobile Entry" available for Flames games this season.
I logged onto my Flames account tonight to transfer the ticket for Wednesday's game to my friend, and look at what I found...
Every game is tagged with this "Mobile Entry" icon. So, I went to the Flames app on my phone, logged into my ticket account and lo-and-behold, I can view all of my tickets for upcoming games, and it can generate a QR code for each ticket, so you no longer need to print out tickets or carry your STH card (I guess you'll still need it for FanAttic discounts).
I forwarded the ticket to my friend and told him to check if it worked for him as well, and sure enough, he could also open the QR code for his ticket, so he won't need to waste paper printing out the PDF.
The future is now!

Still very cumbersome. A) If you sell some of your tickets it should not present these sold tickets to you as an option.
B) It's several menu options down and shows tickets you have transferred.
C) Why can't it be tickets remaining in your acct and send a reminder the day before for the ones you have.
D) Paper beats all of the above with a scissor. Rollie told me this would happen, but it's just so amateur. Why not E-Ticket me through the app for the games remaining and build in a for sale or transfer app.

Was anyone able to add the tickets to passbook? Not sure if my clunky phone is not working or the app.

You could do this already for the last 2 seasons. Each time I've gone I just show them the pdf barcode in my email and I'm in. I still print a paper copy anyway.

Nope that functionality is broken. I find what works well is taking a screen shot of the tickets and accessing via photos. The app can take several seconds to load each ticket which sucks when there are hundreds of people waiting behind you.

It would be cool oen day if you could use one of those (I think its called) NFC so you don't even have to do anything, just walk straight through holding your phone, the usher reads a "pass" or "stop" when you pass by their NFC scanner (is that what its called?) and you don't have to do anything else.

Yes, I used it all pre season and just had the ticket open on the PDF well before I got in the line to be scanned. Also had the barcode zoomed in ready for the usher. Worked smooth I'll be going paperless all year.

You could, but it was never officially supported and you were SOL if the ticket taker couldn't scan your code.

Things are slowly progressing that way. The Lightning began using NFC for store/concession discounts a couple years ago. The jersey they gave to each season ticket holder had a chip in the sleeve that activated it.

Jesus, man. I go from "phone in pocket" to "scanning QR code" in about 8 seconds. This is light years better than it's ever been. It's the first version, before the first game of the first season - give them a chance to learn from some feedback and iterate.

I may not be as quick as you. Or maybe I am missing how you are doing it. Can you run me through it step by step?

They seem to have fixed the problem with adding the ticket to passbook with their last update. I was able to add tonight's game.

I have "my flames account" bookmarked.
It automatically logs me in as I have it set to save password.
A couple of clicks and I am scanning.
The only PITA I have is when it says that I am put in line due to high demand.

My cousin sent me a ticket for a preseason game and I used mobile entry for it. The issue I had was at one door it wouldn't scan the QR code. I think it was because my phone was in my case(otter box with extra screen protector). They sent me to the service desk to exchange it to a paper ticket. I took my phone out of the case before I went, to try it at a different door and had no problem. Another issue was when I went for a smoke during intermission it was a hassle loading up the code to get in and out.

I open the ticket in adobe PDF before I arrive at the saddledome. Then I just leave the ticket open in the Adobe PDF app so it is ready to be presented at any time. I can still use any other app on my phone during the game and toggle back to the open PDF if needed.

Anyone else having trouble accessing your tickets on the Flames app for the game tonight? Or is it just me? I deleted and re-installed the app a few times. When I login to my account and click on "tickets", it just takes me to a generic page on Flames news as opposed to the tickets area.
