LOL @ Ric. I doubt he thought he would fight the shooter. This isn't The Walking Dead or TV - You are probably thinking 'How can I save my own a$$' at this point.
Pretty easy to be critical of the situation from your armchair, eh?

A lot of things go through people's heads during a crisis situation.

I'll wait and see before I jump into the quagmire of this shooter and let the news services do their job.

I've laid out my theory about this stuff in another thread, and I pray that I'm wrong.

Fact of the matter is that CBC is such a great news organization that they could probably be profitable on their own. Always felt they had A quality news reporting.

Not surprising that they are doing a great job during this whole ordeal.

It's not confirmed but currently the details make it possible to be only one shooter since the story about the Rideau Centre has been denied.

Can't help but laugh at the second amendment types in the States. If the shooter had access to the same firepower available there, we would have many more casualties.

We don't know if that's true, it sounds like he had the opportunity to go completely postal, but he went after the soldier and then went after the response officers. He didn't seem to have an interest in going after just anyone.

In that way, and without drawing strings this is very similar to the Britain beheading of a young soldier who after he was killed, his assailant calmly talked to the ordinary people around him.

Pretty sure that 'firepower' could still be attained here, if you look hard enough.

Canadians are 100% united and 100% pissed off.

Note: This is not the official Statistics Canada twitter... but a good tweet nonetheless.

This picture was taken before the tragic event of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and his partner standing guard.

I heard that is wasn't.

What is the source for this claim?

Here's Kevin Vickers, Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Commons, and 29 year RCMP vet, who fatally shot the suspect:
