It's going to be cool to see how they keep working the Bane story in as time passes. He obviously isn't going to be a factor for many years yet but he's there now in the back of your mind as the show progresses. I didn't think we would be exposed to anything like that until the current crop of characters was somewhat dealt with and dwindled down a little bit.
Where was the Bane angle? I've already deleted the episode from the PVR and totally missed it.

the drug that was handed out was Viper. It was designed to create super soldiers, but had serious side effects including psychosis, and bones breaking.
They fixed those side effects and called the drug Venom.
Which was the drug that gave Bane his super strength.

I actually read a pretty cool column on Cracked.com where there's a theory that the last two Batman movies in that first group of four were movies made in those Batman movies and not actually a continuation of the first two Michael Keaton Batmans.

Keaton has said that he would do one last spin as Batman if the right movie and director came along.
I still liked him better in the first batman then Bale. Not saying Bale didn't do a good job. But you could feel the anger coming off of Keaton in every scene in that movie.

This show is pretty bad... I can't understand how it's still on and getting ratings. The director could use a course in subtlety, not everything has to smack you over the head.
Catwoman jumping on cars, pedestrians walk by and don't even blink or look that there's some ridiculous woman hopping on car roofs? Makes no sense.

It's a super hero show set in a fictional city. Why does everything have to "make sense"? This isn't supposed to be Mad Men or Breaking Bad.

I find this show head and shoulders above the first 12 episodes of Marvels Shield (they were terrible). The actors in Gotham have a sense of their characters and the story is starting to tighten. How is anyone complaining about Catkid acting like a cat. Does she have to get bitten by a gathering of alley cats to logically become Catwoman or can she just have a psychosis that started in her developing years? lol It's a live action comic book story!

If you ever read a comic that was based in Gotham then then this show really hits home, they nailed the grit and the dirt. However, most of the audience hasn't so I understand the frustration with it all. I think people need time to get used to it.. obviously enough have looked past it to keep getting the numbers the show has..

The Penguin is keeping me in it and Jada Pinkets charactor is fantastic as well.
Too episodic for my liking, but networks haven't taken a risk on a serial since all the lost clones went belly up. The problem really is the weekly plots suck if you ditched them and just stuck to building long plot it would be a good show. Brucewhining less and investigating is good too.
This was a pretty good stand alone episode with very little happening on the story continuation except for a two minute really creepy scene with Penguin getting a sponging from his mama. and the arrest of Gordon.
I really liked how atmsopheric this one was and how simple it was.
this show is improving by leaps and bounds.

I thought I found it in this thread, but either I misremembered or I'm going blind in my old age.
I like this theory, but I think they're trying to keep it "simple" for people that know the basic Batman universe. If they did this, it would totally confuse the majority of the audience.
