With Backlund's giveaway, maybe you see JG next time.

That said, there's more than pure offense to OT...playing 4 on 4 in your own end is not up JG's alley at this early point in his career either.

If Raymond had scored in the third off that feed from Monahan that might have kickstarted something for Monahan. Instead he struggles in OT. So close.

What the hell is the logic in not playing Gaudreau in OT?

Good effort, tough loss. Drouin was great tonight, one of the best players on the ice. Dude is going to be an awesome player.

Meh, it was a toss-up. Ramo was good, Johnny was good, and we give up the extra point to an Eastern team, so not all that damaging. Countdown to VERVE, AlbertaOiler, etc. come out of their hiding places given that they beat TB last night.

To people saying Gaudreau was hurt so no O.T time..I don't buy it. He got ice time in the third after coming back and last O.T he got 0 ice time. Nothing to do with injury and more to do with the coach not trusting him fully yet.

I guess I'm just sick of people looking for things to freak out about. The coaching staff is fine. Gaudreau is fine. Everything is fine. So what if he didn't get OT time, the coaching staff probably have their reasons.

Another solid goaltending display and Gaudreau with another great play.

Monahan looks like he may be experiencing the sophomore slump.
