ReRun is not nearly as enthusiastic about this prediction.

We should trade Raymond for Drouin, but we'd have to do it now for it to make sense.

It wasn't a prediction... it was a suggestion. You do know the difference don't you?
... and as it turns out... ANYBODY for Camalleri would have been a great deal for the Flames.
Tell me again, who did we end up trading Camalleri for?

Not Drouin.

Kudos to whichever anonymous poster that was who predicted his first year would come in under Giordano's cap. I wish we could figure out who made that prediction. Alas, we'll never know.
Excellent contract. Though, I kinda hate NMC's as a matter of principle, but since they've become pretty much automatic, the limited NMC is acceptable.

As mentioned earlier, limited ntc means "won't accept trade to Edmonton "

There is no Gio cap limit. The Flames have signed multiple defencemen for more money than him since he signed the deal. Bouw, Phaneauf, Wideman.

Wonder if Brodie's agent put in the standard NHL limited no trade clause.
"Edmonton and Calgary"
Doh........ where's that liquid paper?

Those guys were signed when the Iggy cap was in effect.
Now that Gio is captain, his extension will be the new cap

Only Wideman was signed after Gio's current contract (it was the last deal Darryl signed as a GM in 2010). Phaneuf was already a Leaf when Gio signed his current deal.

So happy to have the defence on this team turn into a strength again. I know wideman and Diaz have struggled but giordano, Brodie, and Russell have been all-world for the flames and I'm glad to keep them around for a long time.
