In Johnny's interview yesterday he said he noticed while looking above how the other team raced in on the forecheck after a line change and that he would use that in his next game. He did and got an assist

Oh this is such BS.
Frankly before the goal, Johnny has given more reasons to be benched in the first period than he did yet this season, including two horrible defensive breakdowns.
It's great to see the goals, and his confidence return, but it doesn't have a damned thing to do with benching. It has everything to do with putting together a skilled line of Raymond, Monahan and Johnny.

How can you not just love this kid (Johnny)? He seemingly has all the skill in the world but always seems to carry himself in the most humble of ways. His personality in interviews reminds me of a younger Iggy.
This is the same reason I like Monahan and some of our other young kids. No ridiculous show-boaters with overly inflated egos...just humble kids working hard, accepting criticism, etc. I guess it's pretty early on, but the way Johnny has carried himself in regards to the scratching in Columbus is just grade A.
