Well after seeing what Samsung and Google had to offer, I'm getting a Nexus 9 tablet. So my phone doesn't need to be huge anymore. I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for anyone offering invites

maybe i'm missing something - but the oneplus one is a bigger phone...

got the OTA update - seems better battery life - really enjoying this phone for the month and a bit I've had it - no invites yet though

Just a few quirks that I have noticed, not sure if anyone else has experienced these as well:

The google now launcher is kind of laggy when scrolling, and battery life seems to be better when not installed. Also, when using on screen buttons, sometimes when I rotate the phone to landscape, the onscreen buttons don't rotate properly and the only button I can see is half of the home button.

I took a look again at the phone. Apparently I'm a moron and while tired I put the sim slot in upside down.

Phone works great now that my moronic mistake has been corrected.

On my old Samsung, if I held down the home button I could see a list of open apps and swipe them away to close them. Any idea on how to do something similar with this phone?

You hold the bottom left button.

I already got my oneplus phone, it is pretty awesome. my brother is now really wants this phone too but I haven't gotten any invites (only week since I got it so not surprised). I will share any invites I get on here when I get them, but he wanted me to see if I could get him one.

Just press the multitask button on the bottom left physical button or the bottom right on screen button depending on your setup

I think you hold it down for like 2-3 seconds. Just tapping the bottom left opens the home screen customization page for widgets and stuff, no?

i also believe in settings you can change what those buttons do too, i modified my home button to go to camera if you hold it down

somewhere in settings it'll show you. but yes if you hold it down you get the list of running applications.

So after getting the update I unplugged my phone Friday morning before work and haven't plugged it back in since. Light usage all weekend (texting, poop-time entertainment, etc) and it's sitting at 60%. This phone absolutely crushes everything else I've used before in the battery department, it's almost like I'm back in the flip-phone days and only charging once every few days

First of all, ewww... poop-time entertainment... even though I also use this phone for that purpose still... ewww.

Yesterday I was at an offsite meeting for the entire day. I was also, unfortunately, quarterbacking several production issues so was doing BBM (ya, the rest of this organization is still in the dark ages for cellular), email, and several lengthy phone calls. Before I went to bed at about 11:30, I was at 67% battery. This phone's battery life is nothing short of awesome.

One thing to note though is the initial pre-order period only lasts one hour. Be prepared to get on there early. I suspect their website will crash or slow to a crawl though. They did use the warm-up to pre-orders as a test of their server robustness, so hopefully they are ready.

Red Mile - - if you decide to give up an Orzly screen protector, I would be interested. I put mine on terribly, so now the corner of it doesnt stick. Only a matter of time until it comes off. I do live in Victoria, but have all my family in town for pickup and can email you enough for a 6 pack.. Or get them to bring you one I suppose.

I could be interested in either one of the cases and/or the screen protector. I've been running so far with nothing on the phone, but after dropping it three times yesterday (thankfully just onto carpet) I'm realizing the folly of my ways... I can certainly provide a 6 pack.
