This would be a case of libel. Would it go to court? IMO that's about as likely as Colborne scoring five goals tonight. But Safeway could expect the forum owner to remove the fraud allegation, if Safeway cared to bother...which is also unlikely, cause it won't likely catch their attention, unless the poster kept repeating the allegation, here and elsewhere. All I'm saying is, careful throwing around accusations of fraud...and remember, there is no defence for libel but the truth.

Well this thread was good for adding some more peeps to the ignore list. Like Jooris so far, good board presence, quick to pucks, battles well and is a right shot. He could be a good piece going forward on RW

Always earned, never given! We have earned a 3-0 deficit.
Gaudreau benched? He is young, it wont hurt him. As for Jooris, looks great out there but I do have a question. He is playing with Hudler and Monahan, why doesn't Gaudreau get that chance?
Again nothing against Jooris at all. Thought he should of been on the team out of camp! Jooris on the PP, but not Gaudreau? Again not knocking Jooris.
Whats with this breaking up of Gio and Brodie? Hartley drives me nuts at times.

Why do people talk about adding people to their ignore list like it's some super awesome thing? No one cares.

But then I'm curious as to what people expected? A not very good roster not being very good? Well colour me shocked. If people are getting pissed off with how we are playing after game 6, then I dread to think how annoyed they will be come games 40-60. Key word is patience.

Jooris should be taking McGrattan's spot on the team. No need for a talentless goon when you have Ferland and Jooris in the minors.

Johnny hasn't looked that great so far. He's looked extremely tentative and looks scared out there at times. He hasn't been a liability or anything, but we're talking about a 21 year old rookie being a healthy scratch ONE time.
Let's just wait and see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

Sven Baertschi: .5 PPG in NHL, 2.0 PPG in WHL
Johnny Gaudreau: 2 PPG in NCAA, actually has a goal in NHL.

Well it's awesome for me, less drivel to sift through. Sorry you don't agree. This board would be unreadable and unbearable without a well used ignore list.
BTW the majority of my post was about Jooris but thanks for choosing to focus on the one non-hockey related sentence

No, no I don't think there is.
Difference between the 2 is, the people who are moaning at the moaners can actually post something positive once in a while whilst still acknowledging whats going wrong, but the serial moaners only ever focus on the negatives, regardless of whats going right. Plus its really boring to read the same pessimistic stuff over and over again.

Johansen is very good. The Jackets got a great deal on his new contract.

McGratton leading the Flames with shots over the past 5 periods, with 6 shots.
Just a clue about how bad our offense has been.

I just found myself doing more research in the last 20 minutes than I did during my whole undergrad trying to uncover the landscape of libel/defamation in Canada. Pretty tricky stuff, but it does seem that the extreme and repetitive defamers do find themselves in court from time to time, and sometimes after that, in jail.
long story short, you are right.
However, the chances of that libel winding up in a Canadian court seems about as likely as someone winning their bloody contest.
everyone loses.

Isn't there some other option when it comes to the salary floor? This seems to be the only reason why Wideman and Jones are still on the team. Isn't there some youngish overly priced contract we could take a chance on?
Frankly other than the JG benching that I disagree with, it's mostly Wideman that has been the source of most of my screaming at the tv. Well except Smid last game with his stupid penalties that is

Yeah and it doesn't seem to have affected his motivation to play either, 6 points already this season.
