Probably a stupid question. I'm switching from a Samsung s5 to the oneplus. Is it just a matter of taking the Sim card out of my telus samsung s5 and putting it in the opo? Or do I have to head into a telus store and have them do it for me?

Was waiting to see the Nexus 6, but after seeing the price I would like to go for the One.
If anyone had an invite I would be hugely appreciative. Thanks.

They both take micro-sim cards, so you should be able to go straight to the opo.

Nice to know it's easy to swap to this phone from my 6 (or any future phone using nano sim) if using this as a back up or beater phone. No big issues with sim size incompatibility and having to grab a 3rd party sim adapter.

Yeah it was super simple to swap the sim cards and have my opo up and running. I am really enjoying the phone right now. I just need to get a better case and screen protector.

Well... since the Nexus announcement, my usual source of invites have dried up lol. Got a friend looking for one, if someone has one let me know.

I wonder when my invites will start pouring in. I've had the phone for close to a month now, haha. I know its supposedly all random but still...

Weird. The OPO isn't recognizing my SO's sim card. Some weird error about how the sim isn't compatible? I haven't tested other sim cards yet, but manually trying to connect to the network via auto scanning or filling in APN information wasn't working either.
She's on Rogers btw. Any ideas? I will likely go to a Rogers to try and sort it out this weekend, but would like ideas on what issues to look out for.

I heard that on Rogers, you have to manually change the APN setting....

I'm on Rogers and I didn't have any problems once I put my sim card in. My previous phone was the HTC One X. Through, my data signal comes and goes for some odd reason and it didn't do that for my One X.

I'm on rogers too and didnt have to do anything.
Did you try rebooting the phone with the sim in?

Several times. Not including the reboot after installing updates.
One of the issues I had was that her data usage is high, so I turned off cellular to dl updates over wifi and wonder if when I restored her old phone's settings on the OPO if the settings mucked something up that a reboot wouldn't fix.
I will try resetting the phone to factory settings later tonight and see if I can get the phone to work on a fresh OS.
