Well I'm less certain than yesterday but I still don't trust starseed.

If he is to be believed, he has a mason partner. Normally a power by itself. He has the power to open up a portal. And between him and his partner they can add an extra vote and find out what faction killed someone. Just seems like a lot of powers when they already have a very strong one in being a mason. And adding an anonymous vote (at least before he revealed) seems more mafia like than anything else.

He used his portal power to confuse us by suggesting they weren't even players in the game under his pseudonym. There was a cryptic message that it seems may have suggested the ability to use the portal to talk to the dead.

In public he suggests the very thing I'm worried about, that the Twilight thread is a mafia tool to cause confusion:

In retrospect of him revealing he's the portal maker, this just seems like a way to cover all his bases in case the portal was found to be a mafia power.

He was quick to accept the Guardian invite which, a bit too conveniently, gave him a power that is better later in the game.

He had 8 votes for him with multiple players (who hadn't yet voted for him) saying they weren't opposed to hammer dropping but somehow got out of the lynch. To me that suggested he had some help beyond just a single mason partner.

I'd be willing to listen to what starseed has to say but I don't have a better target.

Will anyone be doing a transcript of the twilight thread? On the phone with a lot of refreshing I might have missed some stuff.

The thing is, Starseed, if Drury is sure Timbo is town, he didn't hand the mafia a free night kill, he prevented an extra townie lynch. The night kill would have come anyways and we'd be down an extra townie.

Regardless, I thought it was awesome and rather entertaining, cheers Drury.

The summary would be greatly appreciated as well, Drury. I believe most to all were there, but I'm struggling to remember the working and source of a couple comments after a day off.

Btw, in the quicktopics, you can click the "email me" option in the top right and you can get an email for each post that is made. Assuming you get it done quickly after lynch, you get an almost full transcript.

Starseed said he gave me a vote, I assume Timbo used his power on me and that vote was duplicated on him.

I have another question about this. How did you receive a power from a night action? Did you use your initial power to get it?

I don't post a lot in general, with less than 2 posts a day. Pika has been constantly attacked by dissentowner, who has called me useless among other names. He has over 19,000 posts, and posts about three times as much as I do. I find I can learn a heck of a lot more when I read/listen, than I do when I'm speaking. Chu understands it's a game, but if you keep calling me out for being useless, at least respond when asked what you've brought to the game that's so special. Among all of us here, from the high posters to the low posters, we haven't been able to find one mafia. Your efforts haven't resulted in any better outcomes than my efforts. Pika is still hoping to win the game when all threats to the Light have been eliminated.

As I have recently been scolded at work for using the internet instead of working, I will be posting at lunch time, after work, and I will try to be here in the morning with no guarantees in the am. Since the methods of finding mafia haven't worked out, I am going to look at people we haven't voted for at all, or have voted for very little. Pika will try and analyze the votes to see if there are patterns we haven't looked at yet.

My problem with this is that pika didn't protect our doctor for one more night and his power is now an enabler plus dome kind of mirror power. Who'd did you use your enabling power on last night and what is the name of your power?

Can you walk us through how this all went down because I don't think I'm the only one a little confused how you used your power on Puxlut, got info on ECF including who he visited. Can you paraphrase what your message back from the tracking said?

I spent alot of time looking up roles today and one thing that came back was that trackers, if redirected, would only be told that the action failed. My Guardian invite stated you were given tracker, so if you tracked Puxlut you should have gotten a "fail" if it was redirected, not seeing what ECF did.

The message returned with a short message with no indication that I was redirected stating ECF visited wood and myself.

I am not seeing anywhere in the tracker role description that would cause it to return fail if redirected.

Rathji, I see you joined the guardians. One though with the guardian ability is they work randomly rather than on the target you select. So if you we're give a kill be careful with it. It might not work like expected.

Your first statement makes no sense. The original theory was that eternal votes would keep increasing. These votes appear to have nothing to do with cults.

So ECF was telling the truth about being the doctor - I was skeptical of that until now. This lends more trust to GGG regarding his reporting of ECF's actions, but he's still on the fence for me at this point.


I'm not going to jump on squiggs for his inactivity as it appears to be affected his life at work. However, what is going on with his power? He has some sort of night ability that ensures actions go through, but is somehow also getting one-shot items that are extremely powerful (doctor)? Seems like a very powerful ability to me, which lends to being scum.

The other thing I noticed was the message board indicated that the Eternals were close to defeat, yet they have no more members yet. As ECF was an Eternal and was night killed, I have a hunch that the message was "written" by someone who did not know who the night kill was. That would mean the message writer is a townie. But my wonder is why would a townie be writing cryptic messages like that. Maybe I'm way off base and it's Maz posting, but something seems off there.

That was a bit of a slip from MOT2, I wanted the mafia to think that I had yet to use my given power, but I actually used it almost immediately. I was given a one-shot cop ability. I targeted wood, and received a message stating that wood appeared to be aligned with the light. We were debating how best to use that info. If we outed Wood as light, he would have been a target. For all we knew he could have been the cop/doctor. It became useless when wood used his vig power.

I was paranoid that I could have that one shot cop ability die with me if I waited, and thought if I used it immediately I could at least get that info to one other townie in case I died on night 2.
