The Blackhawks played almost a full period with the man advantage. Hartley managed his bench well.

Pretty sure he was taking a jab at the Oilers

Last night I was ready for Hartley to make Ramo the official #1, but now it looks like the Flames might just have an honest goaltending duo. Have the Flames ever had a solid 1a-1b situation in goal? Closest I can think of is the year that Joseph was backing up Kipper

Oops, didn't see it posted last page.
Either way, That game was sweet, sweet justice for the past 5 years of defeats against Chicago.

green text? Look at the results so far. The goalie's, 2 dmen and the supporting cast of the Flames won us 3 games this year. Young offensive prospects are not to be relied upon and the goal is to ease them in.

Gaudreau doesn't play on the PK and the Flames were killing penalties all game.

While Hiller deservs the first star no question, among all those saves there really wasn't that many of the highlight reel sort. The defense had to do something right too, even if the total shot count was high.

I just think if Monahan, Baertschi and Gaudreau had the comfort of knowing that they're the future and given lots of ice time no matter what, we'd have more exciting hockey. Right now, with Hartley taking the slow, patient and measured approach, they all appear to be ghosts and under utilized. I realize it's only 5 games, but it's never too early to start writing off prospects and losing patience, IMHO.

Great game by Hiller. Also, nice to see Backlund bury it when Seabrook gave him the room in OT. I suppose the KHL will have to wait another day...

So awesome to see Bennett still feel connected to this team. I am looking forward to his 9 game audition in Feb or March
